I saw your thread, nice bit of work - my question is, Is 91 with a full game with bellchambers a bad score for a ruck?

And as you say hille will be back and bellchambers off to the maggoo's so 100+ scores will roll in again, that said even with bellchambers all year ryder can average 90-100 his form in front of the big sticks is impressive as is his marking.

will there be many premium rucks averaging 100+ do you think ?

Hi cw. Would trading out Cunningham to move Goodes to midfield bench, replacing him with Stanley.. Then trading out Fyfe for Chapman and swaping Goodes back into FWD after the 1 week ban and putting Chapman on in the mid be a good move?

Yeah makes sense - chappy stevie J pav cloke martin all will drop serious amounts over the next 3 weeks so picking one up for fyfe when they bottom out is wise.

keep in mind when swinging goodes back to the fwd line you also have the option of bringing in zieball after his next game before his price rise OR better yet fallen mid premiums, thompson will fall a massive amount over the next two weeks nd there are others on the way to big drops redden and rocky risky but will lose a ton of value.

also barlow has a BE of 91 so he won't rise much next round but the round after he could skyrocket so if your interested in him he has to be this week or next.

chappy of all the fwds is the MOST likely to improve so he drops again next round then you probably need to get on before he starts to go back up.

stevie J still scored 60 in the worst game he ever played and is a gun he is the one who will be the biggest drop in price and therefor the most tempting but not DPP so proabably doesnt help you.

if you don't have macdonald from gws he plays his second game this round and if he scores another 100+ and looks impressive you know they need him on the field for every game so at sub $100k it wouldn't be crazt to get him in next week that will give you $300k to upgrade other players and in 4 more weeks it will have made you $300K MORE and you will be able to turn him into any elite mid with the cash you'll have in the bank.

Lots of options. But I think get cunningham out this round whatever you do is wise. Stanley lookes really good so far.

NAB CUP GAMES:

Only played in NAB 2, scored 45 from 40% TOG, pretty much what I predict him to score from the last quarter and a bit if started as sub.

   Player Name   K   H   D   M   HO   T   FF   FA   SG   G   B   DT
20   Bradley Hill           4   5   9   3   0   2   0   0   0   1   0   45

Rookie PLayer Rating: (MID) 7/10 - Fast berry berry fast, should be the sub with so much speed but a home debut in Perth it would be cruel, so maybe he starrts on the bench or ground. Job security is a massive concern with the skipper still out I cannot see him getting a lot of games but if he impresses maybe he will, he is however being so small and fast the best candidate for a vest. Apart from speeding and running from the police in Perth seems a mature in a footy sense type of player who is ready for the big league, risky pick on JS, perfect fir for a sluggish hawks midfiled tho with a lot of bigger harder players and no real speeders other than the questionable burgoyne and rioli who would be better used back and fwd anyway.

Prediction - starts sub scores 40 in the final quarter and a bit :) if he gets the ball they won't catch him could kick a goal or two even.

Rookie Player Rating (FWD) 7.5/10 - Job security? Hmmmmm, well promoted off the rookie list. WHY? because he is a genuine scoring option for the lions NON-EXISTENT FWD Line. Can take marks contested and will provide an optional target up fwd for the lions. Problem is lately the Lions can't get an inside 50, setting a new record for the least in a game. That's impressive given the two new clubs full of rookies and the lions still manage to be worse! All this plus the rookie elevation, potentially makes this guys job security very good.

However given Voss seems to be still knee jerking like a rookie coach making swaths of changes on a single games performance I wouldn't bank on the job security of any Lions player, Beams for example went  from rising star nominee to a quiet game to dropped, so the chances of a rookie elevation holding his spot if he fails to perform maybe very low.

As for the player he is exactly what the lions need, an option that is a proven strong mark and can kick goals. With Black back who we all know is the Lions midfield general the likes of rocky redden and rich will get thier shower together, there should be a significant increase in inside 50's and this guy could be on the end of most of them as Brown Dog will be double teamed and a poorer option to the rookie who shouldn't see as much attention or be given the best defender match up.

Holy shower, did not realise that he is only 85k :o. Might be an ideal downgrade target.

Rookie Player Rating (MID) 7/10 - Not a rookie rook, 21 years old, drafter by Cats in 2009, 2 injury interupted seasons behind him. Kinning it in the magoos, elevated to Cats senior list this week to play, the cats don't elevate rookies they don't intend to play. As injuries grow and as senior players are rested the Cats is one of the safest teams to have rookies from in terms of them getting games. A bit young to call injury prone but had a shocking run so far. Has impressed in 2 preseasons and this years nab cup and further in VFL so when he does play if he makes this weeks cut he looks a good thing and has 3 years on most rooks going round.

Ziebell was North Melbourne’s first round draft selection at the 2008 National Draft, after surprisingly slipping through to pick nine.

A 188cm midfielder, he has excellent skills by foot and is tough in the contest. He has strong leadership skills, and is expected to be a future leader of the North Melbourne Football Club.

Hailing from the Murray Bushrangers, Ziebell was prolific in his team’s TAC Cup premiership and also represented Victoria Country at the NAB Under 18 AFL Championships and gained All-Australian honours.

2011 was the standout year Ziebell had worked towards after his first two seasons were interrupted with two broken legs, one in 2009 and the other in 2010.

After a quiet start to 2011, Ziebell began to find exceptional form in the latter part of the year with his career best match against the Bulldogs in round 17 where he racked up a record 41 disposals.

Four goals, 27 touches, in just his 46th game. We've been talking about Jack for some time and yesterday's performance suggests the talking has been worth it. He wasn't alone. Wells is flying and is probably a good early smokie to be second behind Gazza in the Brownlow, while Anthony, Bastinac, Swallow, Atley et al, are in good form. And let's not forget Boomer, like several sides have done this year.

Mid Priced Player Rating (MID) 9/10 - Can't go past him for the money, breakout season LOOMS. Vice Cptain now and in the best shape of his short career, this guy is going to explode. Scored at a rate based on TOG that would have seen him break the ton in both games and came out vs Geelong and scored 139. As the Roos improve so will he, but even if they don't he is in for a big season. Extremely highly rated by insiders and senior players at the club, and based on the formula for breakout midfielders he is due after 2 jalf and a full season this is the breakout year. Get On!

Confirmed his status as a club great last year when he won Geelong’s best and fairest in a premiership year for the second time. Premium Player Rating; (DEF) 8.5/10 - Elite defender, hard and durable one of the safest bets down back again this season, his scoring can be erradic and he can have stinkers but you will not find a more consistant player in defence as far as not missing games over the past 5 years. May get rested as all senior cats will but more likely not to given the defenders get the most rest on the field each week anyway, especially in a top side. Should be on top of your list to bring in given the troubles we have seen in defence already this season you don't want any more so play it safe get this guy.

don't mean to disagree with you but...

I saw your thread, nice bit of work - my question is, Is 91 with a full game with bellchambers a bad score for a ruck?

And as you say hille will be back and bellchambers off to the maggoo's so 100+ scores will roll in again, that said even with bellchambers all year ryder can average 90-100 his form in front of the big sticks is impressive as is his marking.

will there be many premium rucks averaging 100+ do you think ?

looks like this one goes to me (77 v Carlton), but good points though

Can you do George Horlin-Smith, if not already done?

Yeah solid call on Ryder, I traded him in for Mummy but on your advice NOT for DT, got him in SC where he still managed a 96. You are right on the money with his scoring tho good call.

MY EARLIER ARTICLE ON HIM - WASN'T FAR OFF THE MONEY ON HIM???

Outlook
Tough young midfielder who played in the Cats’ 2011 NAB Cup campaign and showed great promise. Suffered a shoulder injury on the eve of the season and did not return until the middle of the VFL season, where he played the last nine games. Was rated highly before the 2010 draft and could be one to watch this season.

Rookie Player Rating (MID) 7/10 - Highly rated, didn't get much TOG in NAB CUP but was still reported as being in great form. Has been awesome in the VFL this season and earned his Senior games as a result. Likely candidate for some vesting but his baby face belies his hardness and in a Cats lineup lacking in contested possessions and intent this guy could become a regular inthe side. No avoiding the fact his age and his position make him highly likely to be vested on many occassions ala christensen in 2011.
