[Premium Player Rating (DEF) 8.5/10 - Definately a better pick in SC as he is very efficient with ball use and tends to score much better in that format. Still one of the best defnders available for either comp and should definately improve his average on last season. Shone in the NAB CUP games.

Just so happens I have Bugg on the bench. Think I will take that rating CW and in Bock goes.

I'll just name a few so you have something to do :P

Alywn Davey, David Hille, Nick Lower, Scott Selwood, Adam Selwood, John Patton, Dustin Martin, Adam Kennedy and Josh Hall

David Hille
#19   Essendon Bombers
Age: 30yr 9mth    Games: 184     Born: June 2, 1981
Height: 202cm     Weight: 108kg     Position: Ruck
Last Drafted: Round 3, Pick #40 1999 National Draft
Last Drafted By: Essendon Bombers
Supercoach Price: $458,700
Dreamteam Price: $409,700

One of the elder statesmen in the squad at 31, Hille will be hoping a full pre-season on the track will put him in good stead for season 2012. Although he played 19 matches last year, Hille struggled for form and fitness throughout the season. Coach James Hird will be hoping the big man can rediscover his best form this season, whether it be in the ruck or pushing into the forward line.

"Essendon coach James Hird has spoken of playing all three rucks - David Hille, Paddy Ryder and Tom Bellchambers - if they are in form. I think it makes Essendon top-heavy and it hurts the running capacity of the side.

Ryder's versatility has him picked first and I feel there is room for only one of Hille and Bellchambers.

Now over his injuries, I think Hille still has the capacity to be in the best three ruckmen in the AFL. Hille and Ryder are a formidable combination when on song."

Past Dream Team Average Scores

Year    Games    Average
2007    18    68.7
2008    20    86.0
2009    5    54.0
2010    16    83.4
2011    18    82.8

2011 Wrap: 3 tons high of 119, only 7 score under 80 and 4 of those in the high 70's, a low of 39 clearly sub affected. Adds up to a consistant season. Was dropped to the magoo's for a few games last season which was more due to having 3 rucks than really bad performance but he can do and did do better for the dumping.

Essendon

Incumbent: David Hille. Played 19 games last year but appeared below his best. At his peak, Hille is a strong-marking, mobile behemoth who presents a genuine threat in the forward line.

Back-up: Paddy Ryder. Versatile and athletic high-flyer played half of last season as a key forward and half as a ruckman, and made good contributions in both areas, booting 27 goals and averaging nearly 13 possessions. After missing only three games in five seasons, he should be ready to peak. Tom Bellchambers, favoured as second ruckman early last season, was impressive in the air and the packs, before being squeezed out for team balance.

Prediction: Essendon eventually turned its back on playing all three big men last year. Bellchambers again appears likely to play less than a full season unless Ryder or Hille gets injured.

10   David Hille   10   6   16   8   24   1   0   2   0   0   88

Premium Player Rating (RUCK) 8/10 - Just sneeks into the premium level, tho not for his ability for price. Is a premium just had a shocker in 2011 by his standards. Will be the #1 ruck at Essendon this season until he has an injury or form slump. Ryder has shown he is very effective FWD and that is where he will be most. No three rucks for the bombers this season methinks so the bulk of the ruck work will go to Hille. Has had a strong pre-season and impressed the coach, two things he needed to do. A little risky, cheap enough to pick over a more popular premium? not sure? capable of being a top 10 ruckman - definately.

Nick Lower
#10   Fremantle Dockers
Age: 24yr 9mth    Games: 39     Born: June 23, 1987
Height: 187cm     Weight: 87kg     Position: Midfield
Last Drafted: Round 5, Pick #83 2011 National Draft
Last Drafted By: Fremantle Dockers
Supercoach Price: $444,200
Dreamteam Price: $374,100

Former Port midfielder Lower grabbed his second opportunity at AFL level with both hands in 2011, playing 19 games and becoming a member of the Dockers on-ball brigade as he was upgraded from the rookie list. He has previously played across half back in his time with the Power, which offers the Dockers a little flexibility.

2009    5    47.8
2011    19    75.6

2011 Wrap: 3 tons high of 130. Sub affected low of 11, and 11 scores under 80.

NOTES:

1. Shoulder reco in off season
2. Interupted restricted preseason
3. JS will not be what it was once Freo has a healthy list
4. Selectable only as a MID
5. Suspended first two weeks of season
6. $374 thousand dollars
7. Break even of 76

Mid Priced Player Rating (MID) 4/10 - selectable only as a mid in 2012, did not play any NABCUP had a shoulder reco and an interupted preseason. Should be available for round 3 after he serves his 2 weeks of suspension, but may also find match fitness in WAFL if Barlow and Mundy are available also. If your after a smokie this is about as smokie as it gets, don't expect to find him in ANY teams at the start of 2012. Well actually he is in 0.6% of teams.

Could be unique. Would consider him as a backmen... but sorry mate, not as a midfielder ONLY.

Suspended till round 3. So you will have to play Bugg for 2 weeks straight... That is my only concern

Fair point Klankers but have got through week one with a score I am happy with. Just need  somewhere  near the same again and I have a saved trade and have a cash cow rolling along. Bock was coming in rd 3 or 4 anyway as a keeper. As long as he is named, gets a run etc etc. Just a matter of how a trade is valued really.

2012 Outlook: March 21, 2012
Spurr is a mature aged recruit who has been racking up plenty of possessions for SANFL powerhouse club the Central Districts. The Bulldogs have won plenty of flags over the past decade with Spurr in their side. Spurr averaged 22 possessions and 7 marks a game last season. He has a terrific overhead mark, courageous and knows how to find the ball across half back.

Cash Cow Potential: Still Rookie Listed, but if he is elevated, look out. In the final NAB Cup hitout he played 80% Game Time for 70DT. He looks a real show for Round 1 selection.

Rookie Player Rating: (DEF) 7.5/10 - Would give him more and should give him less, the reason being he is still rookie listed. Not likely to be the first one promoted either. If he is promoted and named would be a LOCK. Makes for a great downgrade target if injuries strike and he gets elevated through the season. Mature body bun player who has being involved in 3 GF in the SAFL over the past 4 seasons. One to watch very closely for elevation which would equal great JS once elevated.

Heath Grundy
#39   Sydney Swans
Age: 25yr 9mth    Games: 91     Born: June 2, 1986
Height: 192cm     Weight: 101kg     Position: Defender
Last Drafted: Round 3, Pick #42 2004 Rookie Draft
Last Drafted By: Sydney Swans
Supercoach Price: $468,600
Dreamteam Price: $349,500

Having established himself as a key defender in 2010, Grundy improved even further in 2011, regularly taking on and beating some of the best forwards in the AFL.

Was struck down by glandular fever late in the season, forcing him to miss the round 24 clash against the Brisbane Lions and the club’s two finals.

He still finished second to only Adam Goodes in marks with 110 and is perfectly placed for a long career in the Swans backline.

Brownlow Medal: career votes 3.

Mid Priced Player Rating (DEF) 7/10 - Plays a role not all that friendly to fantasy scoring a solid player will return you scores on average from 50 -90. Unfortunately given the roles and the jobs on players he is given it will likely be more of the 50-60 scores and less of the 80-90 scores. Had a solid preseason and a good game first up in round 1 but will not score so well against tougher opponents in my oppinion. You can do worse but also better.

Toby Greene prolific midfielder, who wins contested ball, has terrific evasive skills in traffic and can find the ball in space.

He was awarded All Australian honours and MVP for Vic Metro. He also had an outstanding year in the TAC Cup, averaging 29.2 disposals, six clearances and six hard ball gets.

Rookie Player Rating (MID) 8.5/10 - Gun the kid can play, one of best on ground in round 1 game. Only issue is job security game time and number of games, fits into the category of very young small bodies stars that may be rotated and rested and vested. This is why he is not in most teams going around. Greaet player and great cash cow, Green Hoskin-Elliot and Tyson all fit this mold risky picks on JS but solid picks on scoring potential.
