Rookie Player Rating (FWD) 6/10 - rookie listed rookie, the kid has talent and was a good pick up for the giants, but suffice to say he has a lot of developting to do before he sees any regular afl footy. Has a bit of desision making to develop and a lot of body to develop, may play afl this season but more likely will get only a few games to give him the taste while spending most of his time in the NEAFL, too many options for GWS, risky pick at best, better options exist regardless of the kids apparant talent.

I haven't heard that, if you have the scoop maybe I should rate him higher? for the sake of accuracy? With Conca and Delidio going into the midfield I wonder if there is room but if you know he is and think it will increase his DT output let us know and I will raise the push up kings rating.... which is a loose guide at best IMO.

I'm wondering how Liam Anthony from NM will go and wouldn't mind your input CW :)

If he hasn't already been done  :P

DISCUSSION:  http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,45677.0.html

Anthony played 13 of the first 15 games in 2011 after two injury-plagues seasons, and although he had no problems winning the ball, the midfielder struggled to have an impact. He was trialled as a forward midway through the year and impressed, kicking three goals against Gold Coast in round 12.

Following the Roos’ round 16 loss to Collingwood, Anthony was dropped to the VFL, where he spent the rest of the year, with an ankle injury hampering his efforts to win a senior recall. This season looms as an important one for him.

Liam Anthony
Games: 13
Goals: 9

kangaroos.com.au says:
There were high hopes for Liam Anthony upon his return from a shoulder injury, but he'd probably be disappointed with his year.

The 24 year-old didn't lose any of his ball-winning ability during his time on the sidelines with more than 20 possessions during five of the first six games.

Nevertheless, he found himself on the outer following the round seven loss against the Cats.

He was back in the side a fortnight later and proved his worth as a forward option in wins against Adelaide and the Gold Coast but his season of up's and down's continued. He was later used well as a substitute in the clash with St Kilda but after he was unable to have the same impact the following week against a rampant Collingwood, he was subsequently dropped.

An ankle injury didn't stop him pushing for a recall, but it restricted him and a decision was made to end his season early.

Mid Priced Player Rating (MID) 7/10 - his talent deserves more, his JS is a massive concern, I don't like or trust the way scott plays his players rooks or guns, there is very little certainty in that team week to week which i personally think is not a good thing. But he should have a place at half forward or on a wing, pumped out a couple of tons last season both playing forward, if north had a clue they would dump the moron that cant kick a goal from 5 meters out and lock this bloke in at half forward. A risky pick because no one knows what scott will do with his players week to week, but a proven potential gun if used right. trick price not even close to cheap

I ahve heard King will be taking on an antagonistic small forward role like Milne?

After knee soreness disrupted his pre-season, he made a slow start to the year. The inside midfielder was trialled in defence and in run-with roles, but was dropped twice in the second half of the season.

Is committed to improving his fitness and is an elite ball-handler who should start to make his mark in 2012.

kangaroos.com.au says:
Having shown plenty of positive signs in his debut year in 2010, expectations were high for Ben Cunnington.

A niggling knee-injury threatened to derail his campaign, but he returned to full training in March and it was full steam ahead.

He was back for round one, but faced plenty of challenges being tested in roles through the midfield, in defence and even as a run-with player.

Cunnington found it tough to settle at times and was omitted on several ocassions, but the ability to play in different positions will no doubt help his development in the long run.

Despite the hurdles, he continued to look more comfortable with the ball in hands and his efficiency improved immensely as the season wore on.

He played arguably his best game of the year in the final round against the Tigers, giving plenty of reason for excitement if he can get his first full pre-season under his belt.

Mid Priced Player Rating (MID) 7.5/10 - another kangaroo, i hate reviewing these guys because just like the last guy, was in and out of the side and you can never know when they will play, be rested , be dropped, i have a blanket ban on ALL north melbourne players in any form of fantasy football while scott is at the helm. This kid is extremely talented, so he should be taken at #5 in 09 his development has been slow for a high draft pick, he is in the picture for a break out season this year and looking at the nab cup he featured in both games and went ok, risky pcik but not so much at the price he is at, you really need to watch closely and get some inside north information to know he is in the best 22 and has JS, he SHOULD but you never know. Given the opportunity and a full season i predict a mini breakout and an average around 80, making him a suitable cashcow but not a keeper, I would put him in the same class as gaff with both potential, price and JS.

He has a big engine and wins a good mix of inside and outside ball. Along with Dell'Olio and Baguley, we'll think he's capable of stepping up and playing senior footy next year."

Mid Priced Player Rating (MID) 7/10 - I would like to rate him higher and lower :). truth is he has has a good pre season on the back of a very strong finish to 2011, played well enough in both nab cup games, high draft pick that had tons of natural ability and probably still does, but has had a horrible run with injuries and missed a lot of footy and training and developing. To think he was part of the trade for Judd you would like to think somewhere in West Coasts mindset would be a desire to get the value they invested in him. I back him to break out in the mid part of the season, i think he needs more consecutive UNSUBBED games of footy at the top level to click into gear and he will realise his potential which is high.

The big quesstion is WILL HE GET THE CHANCE ? LE you know WCE better than I but there seems to be GAFF included and the youngsters SO MUCH competition in that side. Might be an upgrade target after a slow start might break out straight away and may be a case of have him from the start or miss his boat....

Rookie Player Rating (FWD/DEF) 8.5/10 - JS is the only question, if he lines up for round 1 and looks likely to play every game he is a LOCK. Only risk is the sub/resting of new recruits, there are a lot of kids in the side to get games into and a few ke spots that will need to be held down by senior players. The guy is a workaholic and will just go from good to better, compared to hurley very often and impressed both in pre-season and his nab cup game. I wasnt looking at any rooks in DT pricing over $120K but I am looking at this guy and Tyson now, still don't think i'll spend the money on Tyson but think I will on this guy.
