Selwood definitely taking price into account. Pendles has peaked (for the next year or two), while selwood is like 6 points underpriced. Pendles has those GWS speculations etc. while Selwood was just captained.

Soz for hijacking the thread again cwob :P

No problem Zip quality advice and oppionions are more than welcome and any help along the way :)

I agree with you and then LE comments, i don't think pendles has much to prove given his performance last season I think he qualifies for top dollar regardless, but the new free agent rules do mean super seasons for out of contract players(at the end of the season).

Still to think they could play harder but don't when staying in form and performing IS and ALWAYS has been the only thing that keeps these guys in a job and determines future salaries makes me wonder how much harder they can play than they already do.

There are some who i'm sure we all think could lift with motivation, i'm not sure pendles can given his current level is so high.

Taking price into consideration Selwood is probablt the right pick, pendles will outscore him but not by much, my only concern with selwood is the captaincy but that shouldnt change his game style, i reckon it would be set in stone.

both winning team pies have a tougher draw both teams have a youngster coming in to sneak mid time (sidebottom/christensen), Selwood is cheaper i think than pendles is better.

So Selwood :) what Zip said, as usual :)

Rookie Player Rating (MID) 8/10 - only question is his hamstring, and how well the bombers have got him fit and strengthened him up for the main gaw.. On skills and abilities this guy would have gone top 5 in the draft but his injuries let him slide down the pecking order. If fit he will play and if he plays he will be a gun, will he play much early? will re get injured again? will he cop a lot of vests? these are the scary questions nabcup appearances will help with the decision to have him or not but i still rate him an 8 as he is a dead set gun with great JS if fit.

Mid Priced Player Rating (FWD) 6.5/10 - like the guy and he has a LOT of potential, the worrying thing for me is his game time, vest proneness and JS competing with Didak and Krakuer and recruits and a couple of otehrs for game time. Watch the video of his bag against the bombers and you get an idea of how good he can and will be, but for 2012 i just worry a LOT about his place in the run on side week to week. Pass

Thanks for Jelwood vs Pendles CW. Jelwood is in for now.

Thanks for Doughty and Duffield, Colli.  I suspected that they wouldn't be rated that highly as nobody seems to be talking about them!  So, it's good to get a conclusive opinion.  I'm not picking them !

I'd like a rating too on Hayle and Burgoyne please, just to put me out of my indecisive misery !

Hayle? you mean the Hawks ruckman?

2011 DT Wrap - nothing to say, simply wasn't himself - aweful year only 1 ton in the home and away season and a TON of average scores.

There is no relevant news on Shaun, however I did look at a video on the hawks website of him training and he looks fit and healthy for what thats worth.

Mid Priced Player Rating (DEF) 6/10- ok don't take this rating too seriously as he could come out and be the best pick you ever had, could average 90. I don't rate him at all, didn't rate him when he was good and after last season i don't think he is even bad good anymore? make sense? Too old, too many better players in the Hawks side, he will get games but he shouldn't smith poops suckling savage, so many gun young hawks should play instead and SO SO many better defenders and midfielders in the hawks lineup. PASS

Please comment and or correct this rating or add relevent helpful information on Burgoyne if you have it as for the first time in my MANY MANY write ups i feel biased as I just don't rate him.

Mid Priced Player Rating (RUCK/FWD) 6/10 - looking like having good JS and may improve on last season, however he may not making him not worth the punt. There is competition in the Hawks for line for the three talls and even if they all play with Buddy and rioli running around their possessions and opportunities may be limited. Pass for me.
