An absolute mountain of work you've done here Colli, really like your contribution to the site, keep it up mate.

A player that i haven't heard much about is Brodie Moles, showed a lot of promise a couple of years ago and is very cheap this year. Bit unique and could be a good smokie cheers

You said Saad is a good choice. Ridiculous. He averaged 61 in the VFL, where he kicked 50 goals. How many will he kick at AFL level against far better opposition? 20? Out of his 20 games, he had less than 10 possessions 14 times. Did you even watch him in the VFL or are you just guessing again?

Would you rather bArlow or Pendles, however?

Personaly I would start Barlow and upgrade to Pendles or start both if you arent starting Swan or Jelwood.

Who will average the most this season = Pendles by a fair bit I would think but who knows what Barrlow is capable 2010?

2011 DT Wrap - not a typical year for Garry, he will do better in 2012 BET ON IT - so 12 tons, high of 175, 4 90+ , 3 80+ and a 23 we shouldn't even count, missed a couple of games came into the season a little underdone, played with a new bunch and still had a ripper year by premium standards.

Premium PLayer Rating (MID) 9.9/10 - equal to Swanny maybe better in 2012, better prepared for the season himself and within the team he is now in. Team improving, easy draw particularly in first half, start without him at your peril. LOCK - was he ever not.

After finally breaking into the senior side in 2010, the flanker-midfielder’s 2011 season was cut short by a shoulder injury after only four games. Of those, his 12 disposals, two goals and four tackles against Sydney in round seven was a standout. Has speed to burn and neat disposal by foot.

Player honours: pre-season premiership side 2010.

Draft history: 2008 Rookie Draft selection (Geelong) No. 16; 2010 Rookie Draft selection (Western Bulldogs) No. 19; 2010 NAB AFL Draft rookie elevation (Western Bulldogs) selection No. 102.

Rookie Player Rating (MID) 5/10 - high price for a rookie which is what you would be picking him as, he is over the injury and back to training accorfding to the latest doggies news but still has to deal with the upgraded rookies from last season that replaced him and shone. May step straight back into the best 22 or near to it, but may not or may cop the vest. Too hard to say for me at this point and too risky at the price but tons of talent and if he goes well in nab cup if he is there and looks to be in the best 22 could be a good pick... too much risk for me.

FULL NAB CUP GAME

              Player Name   K   H   D   M   HO   T   FF   FA   SG   G   B   DT
1   Hamish McIntosh   10   13   23   8   14   3   1   1   0   0   0   104

*NOTE: This score was achieved as the #1 ruck throughout the game, not only rucking but being around the stopages not stuck up forward as a tall target in the rain - just keep in mind...

Mid Priced Player Rating (RUCK) 7.5/10 - Has found his way into and back out of my team time and time again. The good news for HMac hopeful owners this season can be found in the last article I have attached. We need to see what happens in the NAB CUP, listen closely and watch closely for signs of scotts plans for him for the year and how well he can score carrying out those plans. Could be the bargain elite ruck of the year or the wasted trade of the year. So hard to say at this point, but he is the best (or close to) #2 ruckman in the comp and his potential cannot be ignored for the low cost, but not can his potential lack of JS and or DT scoring potential given his potential time up forward.

First post on this forum, so go easy !

First and foremost, i'm relatively new to the AFL game.  I played in 09/10 (badly, just didn't get it) again last year, where I did a bit better, but tried something a bit different and it basically took me a load of trades to put right.

This year i'm hoping to be a little more competitive and have been doing a bit of research and of course I managed to find this thread.  I must say Colli, this is one of the finest threads i've ever seen on an internet message forum.  Absolute top work and invaluable to an inexperienced player like myself.

I'd like your opinions on the following please:

Michael Doughty
Paul Duffield

and just to be cheeky, Shaun Burgoyne and David Hale too !  It's this 'mid-range' that's causing me the most problems.

In his second season, Rohan played the opening four games of 2011 before injuries curtailed his progress.

He missed the next 15 matches with knee and hamstring trouble, before returning late in the season and reminding everyone of his gifts.

Easily capable of running out of defence or taking a mark in the forward 50m, Rohan is one of the quickest players on the Swans’ list and a key to their future prospects.

Has targeted a spot on the wing this season.

Draft history: 2009 NAB AFL Draft 1st round selection (Sydney) No. 6 overall.

Mid Priced Player Rating (FWD): 7.5/10 - pick #6 which is cursed imo. kid has great skills and looks pretty fit and much stronger this pre-season, if he plays well in nab cup he will be a good pick up at his price, competes with a lot of other low mid priced options and will be a unique pick.
