Would be keen for work on the mines but apparently my teachers reckon its a waste of my brain power. Will probably do a commerce/accounting thing at uni. You get paid a fair bit for that don't you...?

hmmm doubt you'd be wating your brains on doing an engineering degree, you would need to be a surgeon ar a very successful lawyer or banker or 20 years older and a CEO of a forbes listed company to earn more than a rookie engineer in the mines.

But the best paid job that exists = a radiologist. $250k to $1,000,000 yes a million dollars a year.

There was a big thing on the news last year they couldnt find a radiologist for cairns hospital the position was advertised for $1,000,000 a year salary!

you have a brain, go to uni, learn how to xray :)

elephants

Radiology :o It's not even that hard!?!?! Just stand behind a barrier and press a button...

I might consider accounting.. Hell boring though apparently... I dunno. Journalist would be fun but no-where near as much money in that and pretty competitive too.

Still can't believe radiology is so much!!!

boora23

Nah your thinking of a radiographer ele theyre the ones that take the pictures and get paid peanuts. Radiologists need to train for 10+ years before earning any money... but its worth it for the 1mill salary :P

Mr Adams

C dub, a couple of cats players caught my eye over the weekend. Keen to hear your thoughts on simon hogan and steven motlop. Job security being my major concern with both. Cheers.

Could I see Kade Simpson, Luke Hodge, Lids, Goddard, Judd? lol sorry.

No doubt I'm gonna get an earful for this, but do we really need to ask Colli about the DT gods?

Surely its better value for us all (CW and his readers) if we can learn a little more about an unheralded rookie or unknown midpricer than another three paragraphs on Chris Judd. Plenty of that (and bugger all else) in the Herald Sun.

Ziplock

to be fair, unless colli pulls out an amazing gem of information, the only boys up there who should be appearing in serious DTs are Goddard and Deledio.

John butcher from port, would love to see a report on him

John Butcher
#32   Port Adelaide Power
Age: 20yr 7mth    Games: 4     Born: July 3, 1991
Height: 197cm     Weight: 90kg     Position: Forward

Missed six weeks between rounds 13 and 18 with a hamstring complaint in a season again cruelled by injury. Finally broke into the side in round 21 against Hawthorn and vindicated his No. 8 selection in the 2009 NAB AFL Draft with a six-goal haul against the Western Bulldogs in round 22. Now that he has broken through at the top level, Butcher is expected to feature prominently as a key forward in 2012, but was on a modified pre-season program because of foot tendinitis. Has committed to the club by signing a contract extension at the end of 2011.

NB CUP GAME #1

Player Name    K   H   D   M   HO   T   FF   FA   SG   G   B   DT
John Butcher   3   0   3   3   0   1   0   1   0   1   1   26

Mid Priced Player Rating (FWD) 7.5/10 - This guy has talent in masses, his JS believe it or not is not a certainty at Port, there is a lot of competition for his position, but on the back of a standout performance in his 4 games late last season and impressive run in the NAB CUP game he should start in round 1. Being a key fwd it is not an ideal DT position but he should score well regardless. Bit risky even tho he is cheap port have the 3rd hardest draw but are set to improve significantly this season. If listed to play round 1 and looking to have good JS you could pay a lot more for players who aren't as good. Consider him strongly #8 draft pick will one day be a star fwd in the comp.

PowerBug

I really hope he hasn't worked on his kicking, coz he couldn't miss last year. Only behind was the drop punt he kicked for his first ever AFL touch. ;D

2011 DT Wrap = 13 Tons in the H&A Season, High of 147, one of three scores over 140, add a 139 and another one over 130 and another two over 120. The guy is a superstar. 3 games ruined his average and show how much better he could average without the three scores of 66,67,70.

Premium Player Rating (MID) 9/10 - Gibbs is Elite, end of story, if and only if the Carlton back line holds up and the ball is used extremely well out of defence will Gibbs be a lock in teh Carlton midfield and if he is he will score better again, than he already does, but it may well happen. He is youg, often forgotten due to his elite status, still has improving to do and already so good. Not many teams will start him, feeling ripped off that he is a MID only no longer DPP, but starting him as a unique could be the smartest move the few that do make all season. Expect slight improvement again from Gibbs and a great choice for captain he can and will score big again against his favourite DT teams.
