I didn't consider Caddy, will look him up. But Conigilo looked good in NAB Scored well. Thought he may be worth a punt on.
Keep an eye on Kane Lucas this weekend. Is priced cheaper than Caddy and has had a killer preseason.

Caddy went to Arizona twice. So he's super fit.

Haha. I'm resigned to the fact that come Monday morning every single cheap smokie that I've spent weeks separating from the underpriced detritus will end up on every blog and forum. So, why not spread the love now?

Jukes

a) Most importantly, Broughton, Grimes and 100k, or Hargrave and 200k? The money will be used for general upgrades around the ground.
b) I can have two out of Rockliff, Boyd and Selwood to back up Swanny and Ablett. Which two? Was thinking of Rocky and Selwood, unsure though.

Really enjoying the read CW.

Could we see some info on James McDonald, Bugg and Shiel please

Dylan Shiel
#5   GWS Giants
Age: 18yr 11mth    Games: 0     Born: March 9, 1993
Height: 182cm     Weight: 82kg     Position: Midfield
Supercoach Price: $113,200
Dreamteam Price: $104,200

Recruited from: Dandenong Stingrays/Caulfield Grammar/Edithvale-Aspendale
Bio: Shiel is a classy on‐baller who assured his place on GWS Giants list with an eight goal performance from the midfield whilst playing school football for Caulfield Grammar against Haileybury College on a wet Saturday in June 2010. In 2009 at the NAB AFL Under‐16 Championships, all his averages were elite ‐ 20 disposals per match at 78% efficiency, eight handball receives, seven ground ball gets and three clearances. He also broke the lines more than any other player. For Dandenong at TAC Cup level in 2010 he played seven matches with his averages again all elite, recording 30 disposals, 10 handball receives and 12 groundball gets per match. His 13 contested possessions per match also ranked number one in the competition.

Rookie Player Rating (MID) 8.5/10- Ok I posted a couple of useless articles above and could post ten more of the same, basically little snippets of "experts" saying get on Shiel and the like who were not top draft picks but guns recruited the year before. Shiel may not be this years Heppell, maybe no one will, but he WILL be one of the best rookie picks of the year. GET ON , enough said.

Christian Howard and Brad Ebert if they are yet to be done Colli :)

Christian Howard is on Page 6 my friend. Colliwobblers 2012 defensive smokie. It's a light read not a lot of detail but he is a 1 season player and as per my write up not a cheap risk but a potential keeper at a ridiculous price for his skill and role in the doggies backline. It all comes down to opportunity if he gets it he will in my opinion be the pick of the season down back.

   Brad Ebert

2011: a forgettable season in DT by his previous standards sliding lower than his past 3 seasons. Scored 2 tons a high of 116 and a 95 and a lot of forgettable stuff to see him at 62.3 by seasons end. Should get opportunities to shine in Ports midfield and may be a bargain pick capable of scoring 90+ at a purchase price of 62.

Mid Priced Player Rating: (MID) 8/10 - going high on Ebert as he has skills ability and desire, he had an ordinairy year last season with WCE but largely due to his role and lack of time in the middle. He will have both a point to prove this season and opportunity to prove it. Bet he was promised a full time role in ports midfield as a carrot to get him accross and bet he will make the most of it. VERY HARD to ignore at a lowly $300k.

Rookie Player Rating: (DEF) 8.5/10 - potential rising star winner, this kid is all the good stuff, 2nd bottom link sums it all up really well. Almost... AFL ready in a team that arguably needs him to go from the start this guy is a must, Morris is mature aged and would normally line up for you before a draft pick such as Ellis but in Ellis' case I'm not so sure, with his potential to score highly I wouldn't be put off by a backline full of Tiges I'll have Ellis, Morris, Conca and Delidio and I'll worry about it in round 11 or 12. GUN ROOK - LOCK HIM IN. JS the only issue to consider but if named in round 1 get one I say

   Steven Morris

NAB CUP GAME 1.

Player Name    K   H   D   M   HO   T   FF   FA   SG   G   B   DT
Steve Morris   3   2   5   0   0   1   4   0   0   0   0   21

Rookie Player Rating: (DEF) 8/10 - Solid, mature, skilled player, will slide into the tiges backline from day 1 and should stay there and thrive. AFL ready in my humble oppinion and likely the guy to get the first crack at it over Ellis due to his maturity and added physicality. May not be as silky as Ellis but will be a hard at the ball and the player and should rack up tackles and possessions, has good pace too so would not be surprised to see him attacking out of defence well and often.

Still the most informative thread here, CW.

The Prospectus is keen on Jeromey Webberely this season, so woud you mind continuing the Tiger cub theme?

Reckon you could give Byrnes a go CW ?  :)

Shannon Byrnes

Geelong - Shannon Byrnes is a two-time premiership hero at Geelong, but his 2011 campaign was ruined by a series of leg injuries and the emergence of Allen Christensen as a game-breaking small forward. Almost 28, Byrnes could only manage five matches last year after playing 23 and 22 games the previous two seasons and was unable to force his way into Geelong's finals teams (he was named as an emergency for the Grand Final). As a small forward, Byrnes must kick goals, but he has so far only managed 99 majors in 105 games. But the Cats' speedster is enjoying a flawless pre-season and will be hopeful of reclaiming his status as a first-22 player.

Mid Priced Player Rating (FWD) 6/10 - has the ability has the form coming off a great pre-season, not sure he has teh support or the opportunity to get regular senior games in 2012. It is him or up and comers such as Christensen and hard to back him given the potential of the youngsters coming through the Cats. If you knew he would play all games you would lock him in at his ridiculous low price, but huge risk based on JS and JS is the reason for the low rating.
