Our 6th randomly generated player is Cameron Richardson- the great burner of 2011!

After having the highest rookie average in the NAB cup, many saw Richardson as the Barlow of 2011, but in the forward line, and jump on him. Unfortunately, his 80+ NAB average was not realised in 2011, playing just 8 games for a measly average of 42.8.

Starting as the sub 3 times, Richardson had a season high score of just 61, and a low score of 14. However, removing his sub affected games, his low score was 49, with every other score between 50 and 60, giving him a non-subbed average of 55.4, not exactly much to right home about, but solid enough. His tackle count seems pretty impressive, averaging 3.6 tackles per game from his non-subbed games, and he has a passable k:h ratio.

The most interesting thing about richardson is his ability to dominate at non-afl level. He carves up in VFL, but just hasn't been able to translate that at an AFL level as of yet. He was taken at pick 17 in the 2010 draft- at 25 years of age next year, honestly I don't really see him as a very viable prospect... it'll still take another couple of years before he is ready to perform, and will be a viable DT option. The fact he continually carves up in B grade, but doesn't shine at AFL, doesn't bode well for his job security- it means he'll have to be incredibly impressive to get games.

2013, consider, possibly.

2012- he gets a rating of 2/10. Not really a chance for me, priced at 211k, at that range I would consider Lucas, Stevenson far before him (not that I'm thinking of either), and Morabito before any of them for 50k cheaper.

Pass.

Windigo

Nice to see you actually did a write up about him.

Even though we all hate him. And will never get him again.  ;)

I *might* consider him in 2013... but that's a real long shot :P

Windigo

That's along way to go.

He might not get a game and get de-listed. I give that a fairly good chance of happening.

Yeah no chance listed as mid only at $211K not for me, but the main reason why I will never again have ANY North Melbourne rook is the ridiculously infuriating way the coach rotates the bench ans sub players, worse than the damn suns. Give me players from teams with structures no more rats and mice squad rooks for me .

Burnt by NM rooks last year!!

Hmmmm, well I never like to close a door where good advice is available, I will keep my eyes open BUT I am sure as experienced as you appear you do not need me to list the number of kanga rooks that played a handful of games on and off in and out of the vfl the magoos the afl all over the place prime cash cows not playing then playing getting to a price rise then the coach puts them out, rooks that look good not getting a game, can any kanga rook really be trusted in DT ??

Yes but a majority of the roo rookies of recent time have been midfielders in which the roos have an abundance of, mckenzie is believed to possibly filling in the running of half back role, in which there is little competition for.

Your right he could turn out like the other rookies or he could be the next anthony, for me the best ever downgrade rookie of all time.
