2012 Leagues FF and other.

Hi all, new to FF ahead of this season, been playing (averagely) watching supporting and following AFL for over 20 years but only got inot DT last year, did not go too bad considering I had no idea when i first started. So as a total noob and after burning useless trades and haveing multile donuts and a pretty average starting team i ended up finishing around 18000. Shocking I know, but given my new appreciation and understanding of DT, and SC for that matter, i started SC 3 rounds in and finished that a lot stronger winning my league which had the 3 celebritity choice players added to it.

So the point to my post is that nw i have a competitive understanding of the game how do we find leagues with other competitive players so we can have great leagues rather than random leagues with players who may not even end up playing out the season ect. ect.

Is there a system or a list of leagues on this site or anther or is it by invitation and when does it all start to happen, after the 1st of FEb. A heads up on how to go about finding and joining leagues and or inviting other members here to a league would be appreciated, I suggest I mau not be ready for any champions league but i like to find some serious and competative leagues for 2012.

I'm not sure but i'm guessing come 1st Feb there will be a lot of leagues on here you can join and everybody on here takes it seriously

18000 is pretty good for a first year! Like KB says, will be plenty of leagues soon :)

well thanks ossie thats encouraging 1800 not bad for a first year lookng at all you players in the hundereds it didnt seem too good :) this year will be better unless luck interferes last year i had grimes shaw, higging, ryder from the start, traded in dawes after 6 rounds before he went to poo, upgraded to sandi a couple of weks before turf toe, traded no less the 8 of the wrong rooks out for the right rooks over the first 5 weeks, absolute disaster of a noob performance especially early, but lessons learned.

And no trades till 15 minutes before lock out this year :) trades from last year below which also gives you an idea of the starting side makes me cringe.......

LOL i was waiting for you Zip, first year DT with zero advice, i registered and began leass than a week before round 1 so yeah NOT A CLUE.

Will be different this year, surprising I finished 18,000 last year and finished on top my league tho lost in prelim.

I discovered DTTalk through the year and FF after the season so watch out next year i'll only half suck :)

I will be in Champs League 2 and also Exlam. But my third league I make is run by me and I post it when Feb comes around if you wanna be in that lemme know. Plus theres the added Facebook league that I go in also. The guy that runs the Facebook one has some extremely serious teams.

Come opening of DT you will come back to this thread and you will see loads of people pasting codes for Leagues. You'll become part of one don't stress :))

Thanks Miss Pies, yeah I was in one last year that the inlaws invited me too which was ok but most of the others i joined generically had dead teams (like the elimination comp).

Plus I think it will be a lot more enjoyable to be in leagues with characters you kinda know on here than just random strangers.

Shees I'm flattered, i do like to think i have a better idea of what its all about, but I also know I don't know a LOT so humility is the best way for me. Abysmal trading :) thats fiar I guess you like my 6smithshuffle?
