Lyon has only said that Pav will be playing more forward.  IMO I doubt Pav will be going to FF as the resting ruckman (ie Sandi) will most likely go there or Zac Clarke/Keplar Bradley will be playing out of FF
So he's a lock in your team then Valkz? Or you not gonna give anything away? hahaha :))

At this stage I have Pav locked in my forward line.  I havent gone with Fyfey!!! cos he is still recovering from groin and shoulder surgery.

The F.A.R.K.

The one we love to hate....

I know that every coach has said that fwds and defs will be playing in the midfield but Hayden Ballantyne I can truly belive. He does play the odd game there and when he does he racks up and this pre season he has picked up his speed and endurance. Anyone keen coz i certainly am.

Fenno

They said the exact same thing last year. I know its a new coach but other than a few games where he heads there it will be all talk.

valkorum

actually fenno there wasnt talk of Balla in the midfield last year and Balla has been tearing it up in the midfield group this pre-season.

me

both ballantyne and lecras seem to have the same midfield billing - but who is actually likely to spend some serious time in the mids?

if one of them plays a stevie J like role, or even does an ablett and moves perma to mids they could definitely up their average to the 100 mark

Don't like him, would not work

It shouldn't matter if you like him or not - if he can score decently then you should have him. I personally cant stand Pendlebury but he is in my side.

Good point valkorum. Though I have nothing against Pendlebury

Been umming-and-aring about Ballantyne, could be worth the risk, good player

Yeah I was trying to say, yeah I agree that everyone loves to hate him and I personally do not like him eitherr, but he would not pay off cause he plays too much up forward and seems to get injured too much.

Artax

Settled on Christensen instead

Fair call.  Although all training reports I am reading about have Balla in the midfield group all pre-season.  He hasnt trained with the forward group at all this pre-season.  He also spent the first part of pre-season (last year) refining his running style to limit his hammy injuries (similar to what Cyril did).

Yes but none of them have the explosive speed that Ballantyne has and that's exactly why they want him there. He has that ability to break from the pack like Swanny and Ablett do with a quick burst of speed. If he gets plenty of time there he will score plenty well, and he is a good little goal sneek aswell.

Yeah I do not see him excelling over 80 points on average. So count me out. I would prefer someone cheap e.g. Porpa.
