Just to give you some facts as to why I say use Goodes as an upgrade target. From2011 first 11 games SC Average 95 Last 11 games SC average 126, 2010 First 11 games SC average 84 last 11 games SC average 105. Similar traits form 2009.  Also has a number of SC scores in excess of 150 in second half so you can see my rationale for targeting as upgrade. If using him from Round 1 take advantage of the Captain loophole.
Can not argue with Jack as I had him last year from the start.

miffysp

Yeah i know about goodes slow starts which is my only deterant. I rekon Franklin is gaurenteed to drop in price over the first month or so. I m considering going goodes to dusty and saving the cash to go towards upgrades later on. Or to snag someone near the start that is playin a lot better (sc wise) that I missed out on before there price jumps up

miffysp

Ok. So can I please get some peoples ratings out of 10 on my current team?

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio, H. Shaw, S. Fisher, G. Johncock, B. Lake, S. Docherty (T. Mohr, N. Blee)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Thompson, M. Barlow, K. Jack, S. Coniglio, C. Wingard (A. Morabito, K. Horsely)
RUC: M. Leuenberger, N. Naitanui (J. Giles, O. Stephenson)
FWD: L. Franklin, N. Riewoldt, J. Brown, A. Didak, J. Porplyzia, I. Folau, T. Walsh (D. Zorko, S. Rowe)

Thanx in advance. I appreciate your views

Ringo

Backs: Docherty may miss early games as a result of hip surgery.  So would target as downgrade target later on. Johncock an interesting choice  but Adelaide are talking up his pre season so may be ok.
Mids: Nice uniques in Thompson and Jack.
Ruck: Not a fan of Nic Nat bit too inconsistent for my liking. Look at Mcevoy at similar price or other prem rucks.
Forwards: Think you are taking risks with Roo, Brown and Didak may come off but how does Didak fit into Bucks plans will he again be sub material?
Overall
8.5/10 mainly due to risk in forward line.

Cheers ringo
I was considering trading Franklin n n roo n bringing in dusty and trav cloke. Both of which I think will have huge seasons and rise in price. Whereas n roo is a bit of a gamble, as u agree, and buddys price will more than likely drop from his 600k mark. And he will b an upgrade target later on.

miffysp

Yo,
Considering trading out sam fisher and Alan didak for David zaharakis and Shaun Burgoyne.
Thoughts ?

Ok guys. What ya thinkin of this team now. Made a few shuffle arounds.
I'm pretty happy with it yet I'm not fully sold on grimes. Might downgrade elsewhere to upgrade him back to fisher.
So far I still have 56k in the bank.
Thanx yall

Solid side, an option of having Gilbert over Grimes? Would mean 2 st kilda players in your defence though.

Jack vs Hayes, good argument could be made for either player. Jack was aweome in 2010, injury interupted 2011. Hayes averaged 110 over 2009 and 2010.

Strong Ruck, the worry is having Giles and Leuy having a bye the same round, hopefully Stephenson is playing round 11.

Allot of risk for high reward in your forward line. Based on last year, 2 premiums. Should keep you interested.

Ringo

Just concerned with having both Lake and Grimes  as have been stated in a lot of posts.  Your decision but I would probably take 1 if them.

Maybe downgrade a back to a rookie based on pre season form. And upgrade Brown or Roo to a prem in forwards well set your team up nicely.

miffysp

Yeah I'm considering upgrading riewoldt to either cloke or dusty Martin. I have enough cash already. But if riewoldt gets back to his 109 average of 2010 than his a bargain. We seen glimpses of it last year but than the next week he'd do absolutely shower.
Or I'm considerin goin riewoldt to dangerfield. If he plays more through the mid, as he did toward the end is last season, he will b a supercoach gem

miffysp

Alrighty guys n gals i have had a huge shuffle around with my team and am quite happy with how it is sittin at the mo.
of course i have to moniter pres-season n nab cup to see players form, there role within the team and so on. But who doesnt?
Anyways let us no what ya rekon? i also still have $122,100 to play with.
Cheers

Very Strong Team here One of the better ones I have seen. :)
Backs: Enough comments about Lake and not sure whether Clarke is in Pies best 22 just my opinion.
Mids: Interesting with Thompson at M3.  Gutsy call may pay off with Adelaides favourable draw.
Rucks: Like the selection unique compared to otehrs considering similar myself.  Only suggestion would be to ensure all 3 rookies are playing from round 1 to give you better options for upgrade.  Not sure if Witts fits that bill as Berger and Giles will have bye in Round 11.
Forwards Strong

Only suggestion I would make is to have Zorko in mids as a Mid/Forward DPP if you want the extra flexibility.

8.5/10 (Reduction mainly due to risk with Prem/3 rookie structure and to be fair may pay off and Thompson at M3)

jasonweare

Not a bad team at all mate, I'm also flirting with the idea of a 3 rook ruck, something out of the norm that may pay off. My rucks are the same, bar I have Rowe in there instead of witts

miffysp

Yeah I wouldn't call witts a lock yet. Just chucked him in there but he may likely stay.
I know it's a risk having Thompson as 3rd mid but he has a massive scoring potential as we seen last season. And with there draw I don't c it being all that big a risk. I might swap him for Gibbs or anulyone really. Il wait n c.
I know Clark mightn't b in the best 22 n he could easily become another rook. Altho I can c him playing as a sweeping defender especially with Davis leaving a hole.
Cheers for ya views
