I have HMac as first ruck and then Giles, Stephenson and rookie that's the best way to go imo saves ~550k from going two premiums (Sandi, Cox, Leuen etc) and will only score a bit less then two premos, HMac and Giles will get about 80 and 70, Sandi and Cox 100 and 100 so that's about 50 points less, and that 550k can turn a rookie into Swanny and still have 50k in the bank.

Given ryders stronger enough finish to the season, with good performances against WCE and Sydney, I'm going to say him, and pray that the bombers use him properly :P

Brogan is old and was retired, will only do about 60% of rucking first half of the season leaving the other 40% to Giles (both playing) and acting as a mentor for him, with Giles taking over the brunt of the ruck work later on in the season.

jukes is on money here,dont necessarily agree with hmac but his general idea is right,screw paying 600k for ruckmen,early days but renouf/west giles stevenson & a rookie looks the go,possibly rowe with hale or roughead in forward line as backup

I read this and went "nah that doesn't make sense" did the maths (mine is poor) and have somewhat changed my mind, question I need answering though is can I use 110 grand to make up 10-20 points?

Based on this, i figure you lose a max of 20 points and save 110 grand (someone correct me if i am wrong).
My maths is based on Swan, Hmac, Giles not scoring as well as expected & Cox,Sandi,Rookie scoring what i believe will be their average.

Swan (115), Hmac (75) Giles (70) for $989,600 scoring 260
(I think in reality it will be more like, (Swan (120), Hmac (80) Giles (70) for $989,600 scoring 270)
vs
Sandi (100), Cox (105) & Rookie (McDonald) (75) for $1,100,600 scoring 280

Save a 111,000 (minimum saving based on using McDonald, save 187,500 if you use Coniglio) and lose 10-20 points

so can 111,000 make up the difference?

That's a very interesting proposition, Jukes, I'm going to start crunching some numbers and see what happens. Think Jimmytigs might be right that you need a more solid bedrock than hmac, but the principle itself seems sound.

I think that Ryder is going to forever be that guy who wont live up to expectations, the guy is soft as butter and will occasionally nail a game and often fade away like he isnt even playing. Dont bother with that spud picka rook over him

I thought saw that to but Brogan if old and quite slow so a I thought Giles might be givin a run and ya also got $250,000 cash to upgrade with so I hope it pays off

But if you know Swanny is playing GWS or someone shower and you put him captain your gonna get 300.
