You've struck a fantastic balance in that updated team. Bock's an interesting choice. If he wasn't out for the first 2 games he would be high on my radar, but he could be good for the loophole.

Are you worried about the lack of rd 11 bye defenders? Looks like the only problem to me in a great team. 9/10.

Colliwobblers

damn it thanks i forgot bock was out for 2, he looked so good up fwd the other night too, cant start him now, not having half a mil on the bench while everyone else racks up the points....

Backs: For bye balance look at replacing Bock with players with Round 11 bye.  Not very many options but consider Adcock, Murphy or Hurn if desired. Assuming both Conca and Ellis may be upgraded by Round 13.
Mids: 3 prem/3 mid strategy Perfect to take advantage of number of mid rookies with potential this year.
Rucks: Sound - Starting to warm to Reddan rather than Giles as ruck option based on NAB cup form.
Forwards: Just personal I would replace Chappy with Goodes. Concern with Chappy is for the last 2 years his SC scores have dropped to just over 100 from 110 in 2009.  Being a year older will he drop further.

9/10 for team mate if you pick the right replacement for Bock.

thanks Ringo always a great help, shame about the suspension bocky looked great last night. I love bobby and i know Adock is a gun leaning towards teh later tho is the local lad :)

I am more inclined to go Big O to Redden on yoour advice, but Coniglio when interviewed made it seem like Giles will certainly be sharing ruck duties with the old boy, not like Smith at GCS getting most of it to himself last season so might be better getting rid of Giles yet.... still early tho on that front.

I agree with you on Chappy until I saw this does it make any difference to your thoughts on him ?

Interesting article - may reassess thoughts, However still the doubts on his hamstrings regardless and the fact being a year older takes longer to get over injuries

No I'm serious only two rucks who have shown anything so far.... thoughts overall. Thought about fyfe out for rook and boyd in for a rook, but think by round 1 will have better mid rooks than fwd rooks so leave the extra rook in the middle?

Jay

i really like your backs...the unique pick of conca will be the key to your defence this year i think. i like the premium mids you have picked...also caddy is a jet (as shown by his performance tonight)! magner and neale are injured, monitor closely! minson is a decent pick, very unique. id rather h-mac than kreuz but just my opinion. your forwards are my favourite line, perfect!

Hey Colliwobblers,
interesting side you have here,

Backs: fantastic no complaints

Mids: also great no complaints, thought caddy was great tonight! i see why uve picked him now, only possible concern is for his price tag will he get enough game time on field? i no its only the NAB cup but you bring ablett in and a few other senior players and how will this effect his game time? however it is a plus having the senior boys around though as it could help his scores, what are your thoughts on this? im assuming u would have more research and planning on him than i would :P

Rucks: massive concerns, i think your going a tad to out of ur way here, giles and redden are great options love them, but you running a huge risk with minson and kreuzer come consistency week after week, this will punish your overall score i think. it pains me to say but the 1 prem 3 rookie option is almost better than this. least cox and a rookie would give you a 200ish combo score week after week.

Forwards: not to bad, dangerfield and porps are showing up well so far and adelaide look like a completely diff team, im a bit unsure on there consistency week after week though when your top sides play them, aside that pretty good!

Side issues:
1/ are you running a bit to much of a risk with all the mid-pricers? if they some how fail ur gonna blow trades mending your side, if they succeed completely different ball game.

2/ do you have enough rookies to make you money for premium upgrades? i can count 12 rookies ( 4 onfield - 8 benched) and 12 upgradeable positions? this is slightly relying on your mid prices succeeding but not allowing for failure?

Colliwobblers

Great review and thanks Adz23.

Since posting updated side I looked at WCE game and saw wiht half the ruck time Cox still posted 111. Given this and the fact the ONLY reason I had gone to Minson and Kruze (apart from the fact freako in the prospectus says they will both have massive years) is the fact that NO other premium ruck has impressed. So rather than "guess" which other premo ruck will do well in 2012 and upgrade to Cox, i'm taking your advice and starting Cox and Giles with Redden and probably Big O on the bench. Anotehr rook to make cash and TWO less mid pricers to deal with.

On Caddy, they sent him to Arizona to get in peak condition to play, not to wear a vest or warm the bench. Ans he is a gun getting Ablett back will significantly help his scores Ablett wins so much ball some of thats going to go caddys way as he uses it very well. Should play every game.

Conca is the player i think is the biggest risk, but he is set to play mainly midfield in 2012. He is my unique. Will play every game

Hargrave almost can't go backwards, the bulldogs are usingthe ball like the hawks out of defence so i think he is as safe as houses and has gone close to premium in previous seasons. Will play every game

Porps is so cheap he has to get injured to go backwards (probable) the crows are much better and have an easy draw. Will play every game until he does that shoulder again.

The money made from rooks is a concern but i see caddy and porps as rooks, they will make me the same cash as rooks, and hargrave and conca very cheap midpricers so should make at least $100k and the (long shot) hope is one may bevome a DEF 7 keeper.

Plus with Cox - Giles as starting rucks i now have $90k in the kitty to help with the midpricer that doesnt work out.

IF Minson and Kruze have massive seasons I will kick myself :)

Dangerfield, well well well, who knows, looks great and the fact he still scored great with a full strength midfield suggests we are seeing what we will get and it's hard to pass up. Will play every game.

Adz23

No worries at all :)

the premium rucks are a bit of an issue atm, id like to think cox is the only one to show any merit so far, however im thinkin cox and mumford are the way to go this year, its costly! but at the same time could be the difference between creating a score buffer in the overall cause not to many people will afford it. mumford really had no competition aside seeby which i dont think is to much drama, big luey's a bit of a issue atm, n the other premiums arnt firing.

fair call on caddy as well! id like to see a bit more of caddy but he deff showed it tonight

all justified points with conca hargrave and porpz, im also riding the conca bandwagon haha i hope they all go well but id be caution as to who makes you money the quickest as well, you might gain a head start with SC points per week with the mid pricers but it will only be about 6 weeks before the teams using rookies will financially be able to start overtaking these midpricers depending how quick they upgrade

Colliwobblers

Here it is Team Colliwobblers 2012. 12 Played for 1139 and all the risky bussiness still to come :)

Just guessing here. Zorko a late inclusion to pick up Kennedy's score?

You got it, but he was my first picked rook until injured, will play in the magoo's this week if he shines he will be an automatic inclusion next week, he'll be good and if i have to bench him for a couple of weeks thats likely to be where he is anyway, with Kennedy going so well (if named again)

Some went couch and thats another solid option but Zorko is "needed" in the Lions best 22... must be true Ringo said so!
