THE FINAL CUT

The truth about team colliwobblers.

So if you refer back to page one and see the initial "final cut" lineup, you can imagine what a disasterous season this has been for DT for me.

A lot of speculative picks that didn't come off and a few key injuries to further derail the season.

Looking at teh seasons trades you will see even more what a silly season it has been, still, finals in all leagues and hopeful of a top 1000 finish, I'd be happy with that if I can manage to stagger over the line.....

Trades history posted below for full transparency and the team I have to live with and have been living with since round 14 below that.

I will update on final ranking and league results at seasons end, and already looking forward to 2013 and a much much more conservative approach.

KEY LESSONS FROM 2012.

1. Minimum 4 premium elite midfielders in starting round 1 side.
2. 2 Premium Rucks and 2 Rookie rucks - none of this 3 + 1 nonsense.
3. Limit on risky mid pricers and those that do make the cut have to be in thier teams best 22!
4. No rage trades = broughton
5. No Sandilands !
6. No Rockliff !
7. No KPP !!!

WEEKLY RANKS

OVERALL RANK

As you can also see my endless effrt on bye strategy and trading DID pay off, made up around 9000 places and so far have managed to hold onto the rank regardless of the lack of trades remaining as a result of the bye trading.

the word im getting is mixed - smith, lobbe, kruezer, jacobs, ryder, maric ....... undecided though leaning towards ryder smith or kruezer

Colliwobblers

total rethink, i am now just waiting to see how HMac plays and looks through nab cup if he looks good and they say he has a job on the ground i may change mcevoy to him and use the money elsewhere. i am still dissapointed not to have rckliffe but is there any bettter than swanny can i start a team without him

Not a bad side Wobbler, quite similar to mine with 10 premo's the same.

No DPP though.

Will Spurr get a game in Round 1?

Kuruki

I like your latest side. Very well balanced.

Heard somewhere Docherty just had surgery, so im hoping also he will be ready for round1. Im not so sure spur will get an early game unless someone goes down with injury. I think guys like Roberton will get a shot ahead of him.

I wouldnt be so concerned about dpp straight away. Im sure once nab comes around a few rookies will be replaced and added.

Colliwobblers

think your right about spurr your not the first to say that now.... big wraps on him tho

why not go for jacobs in ruck great chance of break out year and sandilands will drop in price i reckon so if you r really keen you can pick him up later and spend more cash on upgrading a forward!

Here we go.

Backs: Very strong. Not sold on Greg Broughton myself but if he is played in the middle his scores are just :o

Mids: Again very good. Can't fault it.

Rucks: Another exceptional line I'm impressed!

Forwards: A fair bit weaker than the other lines but that's understandable. Still Browny and Christo can potentially average 85+

Good team mate 9/10. Lost a mark due to having Greg Broughton and Kerridge (who i don't know much about). I think Saad or Walsh would fit into the Kerridge spot a bit better.
Even then i feel as though I'm being harsh. Really nice team, well done.

Colliwobblers

thanks Elephants , nice comments from a veteran such as you, and I'll change to saad i think i can afford it. :)  Also will look at broughton and the role he looks to play, he isnt exactly a bargain so i can exchange him for almost anyone, any suggestions?
