Is it just me or is everyone shying away from the Sandi Cox combo...and if so would like to hear your thoughts.

Cox - One year older and with a Nic Nat on the verge of explosion his role could well change to a deeper forward position..
Sandi - Physically can't play 22 games a year. You don't particularly want to have to use your ruck bench too many times a year.

I've had both for the last 2 years and been happy when both firing fully fit. That said, I'll be keeping clear of Sandi due to reliability (burnt trades on him in the end) and most likely Cox as well. Cox will still average 100+ again but is expensive this year.

Luey, Jacobs and McEvoy are great value for 2012.

Thanks Ele. Fair enough but I will be going with Cox, I reckon he still has a few more years left in him.
Sandi I'm borderline opinion not decided on second ruck as of yet..will either be Sandi, Leuy or Mummy.

I'll be happy with a ruck avg 100+

I went both last year but not this year. Think there is better value elsewhere. Mcevoy mummy r on the rise. Few good rookies too and hmac offers great value. One premo maybe a mid range or 3 rookies for me and ill spend the cash elsewhere.

Yeah true. I've noticed a lot of people thinking about the 1 gun 3 rookie/1gun 1 mid 2 rookies. I want to make sure I dont pick my main two with the same byes though. That would be daunting.

Depends on your strat to how daunting it could be  :). I got the big mcevoy as my number one. Im baseing my team around the majority having byes in round 12 making sure im fully loaded in the other 2 rounds. So come r12 or 13 ill be looking to upgrade a rookie to a 2nd premo.

Yeah I agree there with you. Out of the top 7 rucks you could argue that 6 of them could increase their averages this year with Cox's 107 ave the only one to drop. Sandi if fit should get above 100 but that's no use to you if he sits out half a dozen games.

The other 5 leave you a good selection to choose from that appear safe bets.

So your round 12 would be around 1800+ and other 11 and 13 fully loaded automatic to push the 'week around' sitting on 2200+ ?

Thats hopefully the plan. Its hard to see anyone covering a full side in all those round and every premo/keeper you have in your side is going to be a donut in those rounds.

Weird but sounds good. You could pull it off if your 11 and 13 rounds have signifigant guns/prems available to play.

Cox is fully priced so I think there may be better value elsewhere.  If he stays fit though he is likely to finish in the top 2 or 3 ruckmen for the year.  Tough call.  You can make a case either way.  As for 211, I think he's good value, if his turf toe doesn't pose a problem any longer.
