Hahaha nice work Nos.

Ziplock

.... normally you say 'win win' in an even trade, but honestly, that's far closer to lose lose.

TheMailman

The deal looks pretty reasonable for Nos in my opinion.

I think you guys need to work on your trash talk

I disagree Zip. Apart from the fact they are aging Torp has given 3 really good players for 1 good player and 2 really iffy ones. Not too mention Nostradamus need for forwards.

BGK

Ignore the forwards comment I was confused.

PowerBug

McKeever? Seriously Torp. This trade is awful. Your destroying your team.

whaaaaaaat

tell me how does daisy and hannebry not match up to the ageing hodge, waters and okeefe ??????

Why are you trying to trade Hannebery? I have him now. Or was that earlier?

BGK

I think next year we need to have a few more rules in place for trading. Something like the worlds had where coaches could vote on trades.

PowerBug

I still think there's a rule this year that stupid trades get overturned if enough people disagree. And i for one am disagreeing with this trade.

elephants

Torp you're getting cold feet. Just relax ::)

Nostra with an easy win there.

Really, only time will tell.

He may look like a genius, it may turn out that he looks like a complete idiot.

Hindsight
shiel could turn out to be a gun, but probably could have got him much cheaper (even with it being HP).
LOL, hindsight is a wonderful thing. But right now, the trade was almost irresistable for me when I was offered Selwood... a first round pick :D. And I got Shiels at a steal in the 4th round, so not complaining.

l just want to say that l'm not getting narky, but am a bit disappointed by this comment PB......it almost sounds like you're trying to get others into joining your objection.

l had intended not joining any discussion about this trade, but felt that l now need to.

When l have read some of the other trades that have been done that seem to favour one party or another, l've actually thought "good on ya", and wished it had been me that had done it and not them.

So l'll try to outline my, and torps reasoning for this trade (please correct me if l dont explain it properly torps)
.....even though l really shouldn't have to.

From my point of view l needed to strengthen my point scoring ability, after my structures were decimated by having 6 players who were mpp when drafted, who subsequently had positional changes.
l didn't really want to lose Heppell or Clifton but hey you have to give to get, the downside for me is the age of both ROK and Hodge and their relatively shorter time left in the game

Torps' aim was to get good young players whilst getting rid of some of his older players.

Both torps and l are happy with the deal

Cheers, Nostradamus

I think people think Hodge is older than he really is (28 this year).... He has a solid 4 seasons left in him and could play easily for another 2 if injuries allow him to. But he isn't an absolute star when it comes to DT scoring :P.
