Seems like you have gone for a few risks in every area.  They could pay off and it could set you in front of the pack but it seems a little dangerous.

Forward Line- Is pretty good, except Morabito is a midfield only. I would definately be putting in Porplyzia and maybe swap Pfeiffer for Steve Clifton. Not to sure of Pfeiffer's security.

Rucks- Awesome

Midfield- I think you need some work here. Cotchin is a star but he doesnt rack up enough touches IMO to score well enough to warrant picking him as a premium. If you has him as a 3rd or 4th midfielder it might be ok, but with Cotchin, Sloane, Barlow as your midfielders, it seems risky. Your not really going to upgrade those 3 guys, you will stick with them until the end of the year, and with the possible exception of Barlow, I cant see Sloane or Cotchin being in the top 10 midfielders this year, definately not top 6. Polec and smith seem like a waste of a spot. Polec did fek all last year, he was injured but it doesnt make him a good choice this year. Your  better off picking someone like James Mcdonald, Coniglio, Clifton, Tom Mitchell etc. Shiel and Treloar are both guns. If it was me I would drop Sloane and Cotchin, pick up someone of good value like Murphy or Ablett.

Backline- Your backline has a lot of risks as well. Hepple is a awesome player, but lets not forget the players essendon had out last year with injury, Watson, Hocking (suspension), Winderlich, Dempsy. With all those 4 back playing and providing run through the middle im not sure if Hepple can improve his numbers from last year. He was playing a lot in the middle due to Jobe and Hockings absence. He could be a good pick but imo its a risk. Grimes was in the same spot as last year. He is a great player but too injury prone. He burnt me and many coaches last year that took a punt on him. Good luck is all i can say and hope for the best. Hanley has been a big improver from reports at Brisbane so it could pay off. Lastly, if it were me i would look into swapping ellis with morris. Morris is the mature age pick up richmond picked up to play at half back. I think either ellis or Morris will get a spot in the team and i am leading to morris due to limited spots.

popedelio

I like it that your team is different and not like everyone elses, which is copy and pasted from rate my team section.

I disagree, polec has a year under his belt in the system and usully these players are alot more fitter, stronger and bigger going into there sophmore year compared to there rookie season. I reckon you should not drop sloane or cotchin. these players may only increase there avaergae by a max of 5 points. But that means there'll be less money needed to spend to upgrade them to super premos if they dont have that "super breakout season."

All of Galeas other comments are very true and you should reassess.

Also personally i prefer more money in the kitty. Somewhere between $100k-$150k

thanks popedelio, i just wanted to go for a slightly different looking team because i swear almost every team on this site is just about the same.

first 3 def great, clarke should be a gold nugget, BUT hanley grimes not sure but why not i gambled on waters but all subject to change come end of nab cup, need to see how these mid prices are looking before locking any of them in.
cotchin i just wouldnt i think you need at least 3 premium midfielders and i see one in your team. sloane and barlow are predicted to both be great for the money so i count them as 1.5 together that makes 2.5 you need another half a premium midfielder cotchin is a half maybe, i'd upgrade cotchin to a thompson rockliffe gaj.
ruck is strong
fwd are strong i would drop lewis to a rook and use the money to upgrade cotchin to a gun.

colliwobbles your opinion is appreciated. i was picking alot of players whom i liked and just wanted feedback on. another premium in the midfield is certainly needed. considering Ablett, redden or even swallow.

browny_wce

that midfield is f-ing terrible!

so the 2nd year rule is out the window???

is that Dustin Martin as a forward? that is awesome!

Colliwobblers

not the biggest fan of cotchin sloane and polec being in the team. But..

Cotchin was the tiges best last season, needs to improve a lot of pts to camp in your midfield for the whole season tho
Sloane having a ripping preseason and bulking up but again really needs to lift to be there for you all season
polec, well just downgrade him to rook.

Sholdn't martin be in the forward line? i dont think he will match the premium mids in scores ??

Solid backs fwds and rucks, i would upgrade the 2 mids i mentioned and downgrade the otehr but thats just my humble advice, your probably better than this than i am :)

Id upgrade to ablett and redden/rockliffe whichever u like, or boyd or anyone not on round 12 bye as you have pendles and barlow there already.

Your teams coming together nicely

imo, yes the second year 'rule' is out the window in some circumstances.

I'm not going to spoon feed you how though :P

Back: Still not sold on Clarke but monitor in NAB. The rest is pretty standard but good nonetheless

Mid: VERY risky. Are Sloane and Cotchin really going to become topline premiums ? I think you would be better off investign in players like Swan, Thompson, Selwood, Ablett.

Rucks: Cant really fault

Forward: Not too bad, I would have Sidebottom or Robinson in over Zaha who has had an interrupted PS.

Id also recommend using the spare cash in your bank.

Did somebody say BOOBS  8) .... Do yourself a favour and get rid of Gilbert for a rook and upgrade 1 or 2 of your mids into premiums...sorry really dont like Gilbert just my opinion, otherwise team looks alright apart from needing a couple more premium mids.
