Nails, the only problem I see with your team is that it's stacked with Lions. When their bye is up you're going to miss Rockliff, Redden and Zorko in the middle. Leunberger will need to be replaced with a trusted player (if Stephenson manages to get game then it's all good). But otherwise it's a strong team  ;)

8 midfield spots, 3 bye rounds... going to be missing on average 2.66 (11-13 are the only rounds with byes yes?) so doesn't really matter which team they're from...

I'd be looking at getting out Zorko before rd 11 anyway, if not during round 11.

I'll skip rookie comments since we still don't have a huge idea on them.

your backline looks pretty solid, obviously keep an eye on Lake in pre-season, but that's about it.
I like the mids quite a lot- you've gone a bit GWS heavy there, especially considering the bye, and coniglio mighten't be worth the cash, given there are other, cheaper players with the same/ higher scoring potential ;)
Ablett is a good choice as always, as is Thompson with his bye. Trengove is the most likely candidate for a 3rd year break out, while Barlow is seriously underpriced. My only beef with it is beams- you have a huge amount of cash left over, and he's very expensive for a player that only did 14 games last year. IMO, with the left over cash, upgrade him as high as possible- swan if you can, if not rockliff or selwood.

Rucks are solid.

forwards: porps is too expensive- at rookie price I would have been all over him like a fat kid on a cupcake, but at 200k... pass. I have a personal dislike of Zaha breaking out next year- nobody else seems to agree with me, but statistically, after a forward has a break out year, the following year there's a general trend of decrease in scores rather than increase. Of the highest averaging forwards last year, only chapman bucked the trend, shifting his average up less than a point from memory (which isn't good enough for zaha). Unless he's looking like getting substantial midfield time, pass.

Basically, I would be trading beams to a premium, as mentioned above. Downgrading porps, then either sideways trading zaha to another midpricer if you want left over cash, or upgrading to a premium.

solid advice by the sounds of it and thanks very much for taking the time, I will make the changes, only reason for beams in MID was DPP. I am confused as to how to get a DPP FWD and DPP DEF into my mids, and or if I should even be bothering

Based on the advice given, I still have Coniglio in the Mids, after the other changes I had $200K approx not sure who to go down to from him, and no one around the $200k i see worth going up to??
