any help would be appreciated.
I'm aware that grimes and waters are injury prone but I see them as good picks nonetheless
I have had zac smith in my team for quite some time, only just removed him. what do you think of smith as a bit of a unique pick?
also 108 700 is a bit much cash leftover for my liking, any ideas for what to do with it?
thanks in advance.

Backs - I'm risking it with Grimes too, hope it comes off 'cause I really like the way he & Waters go about it, would've liked having both but thought I'd play it a bit safer..
not sure how well Buntine will score in DT, checked out some of his stats from the last year and he wasn't that big of a scorer

Mids - Fairly unique pick with Thompson, haven't seen too many teams with him yet which is funny considering how well he went last year, thought about putting him in mine too but didn't have room with 4 gun mids already :/

Rucks - gun&gun + probably the 2 best ruck rookies this year, should be a solid ruck division for you all year baring injuries

Fwds - Same as with backs going with Brown & Porpy after serious injuries last year might be a bit risky but if it comes off it'll be a pretty sweet forward line.. might pay to be a bit cautious about stevie.J this year, have a feeling he might slide off a bit, same with mr.chappy , rookie fwds we're on the same thoughtwave

Overall - Pretty decent, fair few unique picks with the aging/injured players but if they get back to their average outputs they should be keepers & the rookies are pretty solid, nice work  :)

Adelaide vs gws,GC and port twice in the season which should guarantee Thompson some big scores for those rounds.Thompson is locked for me. I traded chappy to dustin martin which now leaves me with $150 000 spare (more then I'd like to have leftover).

Phasir

yeah I agree with Thompson, very solid pick he pretty much held up the crows' midfield this year & will probably be doing most of it again this coming season.

nice move with Chappy~Martin too, both DPP & hopefully Martin has the same upwards curve of Rocky ;)

is Callinan worth the cash? he didn't really prove himself as a dominant DT player last year & may have problems getting back into the best 22 for this coming season

thefuzz

callinan is under $200 000 which I see as quite good value. I will of course have to monitor his preseason and the nab cup- he is far from locked in. He could turn out to be a good unique pick though.

Given the new prices had to change the team a bit. What do you guys think of this team? Would love to try and get Cox in there somehow.

I like your backs and mids think they are good to go
not sold on zac smith to be honest, id rather start giles and use the money elsewhere, for me in the forward line.
poplyzia and callinan are the two picks i dont like in there and surely you can squeeze dusty martin into there! porp gives you no value at 200k and callinan would be in a similar boat for a pretty much untested bloke.

my advice would either be
1. downgrade smith and callinhan and upgrade porps to dusty
2. downgrade porps and callinhan and upgrade smith to cox

made a few changes to my team.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated. I want to start with one of either buntine or Tyson and at the moment am going with Tyson but obviously NAB cup will dictate which player I choose.

Mr.Craig

Solid looking team. If it were me I'd wait on getting one or the other out of Pendles/Swan until after their bye. You've gone with the old warhorses in the forward line, Goodes and Pav did me proud last season but I'm not so sure about this year. Also, I'm not a fan of starting with one premium in the rucks but I've seen a few teams going with that strategy so maybe there's something to it. Apart from that everything looks good.

Colliwobblers

great team, whether you like the ruck strategy or not is irrelevant, you have a great def solid mid great fwd and half solid ruck

overall very strong side. not much else to say.

upthemaidens

that forward line looks alot more like a SC one than a DT one

Could not agree more in terms of the age of your team discounting rooks. And with waters back, I know he is a gun, but he is way too injury prone for me, he is always hurting his elbow. I guess you want to make sure you have enough in the kitting in case any of the older blokes or waters goes down before you have earnt enough to make some genuine upgrades.

the eagles will improve even more this coming year in my opinion and I can see the eagles general improvement helping to lift waters' DT output. that's my thinking behind waters anyway

No Doubt bro. But his first AFL match was in '04, he didn't play a game in '05 or '09 and in '04, '08, and '11 he played in less than half the matches. However, I like your point that he the weagles step up as a unit he won't necessarily have to work as hard therofore, hopefully, he will have less injuries - no doubt he is a gun in DEF though.  ;D
