Well I pick current chile player of the year (yes ahead of alexis sanchez) and runner up for south American footballer of the year 2011 (neymar won). Plays mostly as a striker but can also play on the wings or just behind the striker. Attracted big interest from big clubs such as Chelsea and Milan, but yesterday joined Napoli.

Eduardo Vargas

Lamela and Coutinho good picks, but there is a better South American attacking mid than Lamela and I will pick him now :)

Apart from Neymar he is probably the most exciting and promising player in Brazil. Only 19 years old, but has already played for the Brazilian senior side 10 times! Was also named best player of the 2011 South American Youth Championship (ahead of Neymar). My choice is attacking midfielder Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva, more commonly known just as Lucas.

You should have taken him. Especially over Lee Cattermole! ;)
