WXV: EurAsia v AAP Alliance

IM not a fan of the top coach thing i think in the worlds it would be a good idea to split into 4 regions and than voting is viable. For my euro tournament im having it in 2 and 7 teams each and we need to fill a team of 22 each round and im thinking each team can nominate a maximum of 4 haven't decided yet ( i was thinking you must nominate at least 1 forward mid and back). 


I think there should be some sought of rule that puts the obvious picks in example the top 4 averaging backs and forwards and 3 mids that get put through and the top averaging ruck. Than people vote on the remaining 3 backs, 3 mids, 1 ruck and 3 forwards.

Still tweaking it.

If it were me i would do the 4 teams and have each team nominate 6 players in the 5 euro and Americas so only 8 players don't make it. and 7 players in the 4 team divisions so 6 don't make it.

To make it fun you want all teams to be represented.

Not a huge fan of that sorry c4 :( Think that representative matches should be the best of the best, and a reward for good seasons. If players/coaches haven't reached that level, they can strive for it next year.

Maybe we should have friendlies during the week between teams? But players selected in the Representative matches can't play!

The fixtures would also be random but I think that I would seperate them into two pools of (VICM, VICC, SA, WA) and (NSW/ACT/TAS, QLD/NT, ABOR, INT) just to make it more interesting.

Thoughts? I reckon this, alongside the EUR v AAP match is the best way to go instead of holding friendlies as it involves everyone and it works!

The only problem I can foresee is the obvious problems with the Aboriginal and International team selections. Like for example, Harley Bennell could be selected to Western Australia or the Aborginal team and similarly for Brett Deledio who could be picked for the International team or Vic Country. In order to correct this, I'm thinking we would let the Aboriginal team pick first, then the International team, then the rest. Fair?

Also, obviously the EUR and AAP teams would pick first then these teams.

The WA team got really weakened from the inclusion of the aboriginal team as alot of the squad is made up of WA players.
