With all the doging on this cricket sub-forum about the underperforming Australian Team, who do you think deserves a baggy green seeing they are going fairly cheap at the moment. Obviously we have not even reached Christmas but who makes your Domestic Team of the season. It will be interesting to look back after the big bash and even at the end of the year to see how our opinions have changed.

Teams can be picked based on any domestic format (Ryobi, Bupa, Futures, Big Bash ect.)

Fyfes Team (14/12/11

M.Klinger

Cicjose

Doesn't that opinion go against everything you believe in for the national team?

Peter Forrest
Alex Doolen
Wade Townsend
Kurtis Patterson
Tom Triffit

How does 1 game warrent selection? for patterson??

Great team fyfey
most of the top 6 could slot right into the team i reckon or be in the best 10 or so batters in the country

Cicjose

because he is the youngest player in history to score a century on debut and he was awarded man of the match for his performance

Hawka

1.Cowan
2.Rogers
3.Bailey
4.Forrest
5.Voges
6.Christian
7.Wade
8.Hogan
9.Herrick
10.Cutting
11.Doherty

12th Faulkner

this is based on shefield Shield

Herrick has been a standout and while many are saying this it seems like he isnt even on the selectors radars. He has been on fire in the shield and come from no-where really just like Cummins. Not like aussies need more bowlers with Pattinson on fire.

Patterson could be justified. I said Futures league could be included and his ton was crazy. Forrest is another one in line for Australian duties but selectors are barely considering.

I think Haddin has sealed his spot with paine going down today. Might give tasmanian fringe players like Triffit a good run though.

I want to see the guys from the Tea Break Top Gun fast bowler thing egt a shield game next year. The guy from Tassie who bowled 139km/h was a stick. Bit of work on his strength and action and he could be sending them down 150+

Special Mention goes to Luke Ronchi for his 100 against Redbacks in the Ryobi. That was one of the best innings this year and the siz was huge. Nevill just edges him out in my team for all the runs he has made in the Bupa Shield

Now i'm not the biggest follower of Domestic cricket but i have never heard of those guys before. Could you tell me who they are, and why they are in your side ahead of Bailey, Christian etc??

most dont deserve to b there over players like Bailey and Christan
Patterson had 1 good innings
Boyce has shown good signs as a young spinner and
Herrick is the leading wicket taker in the Shield

Cicjose

Steven Cazzulino scored an unbeaten century (along with Cowan) in their latest match v NSW
Townsend Queensland leading run scorer including 1 score of 150+
Jayde Herrick leading wicket taker in Sheffield Shield
Cameron Boyce is the leading wicket taker for Queensland who sit on top of the shield table (and has scored 2 50's at number 8)
Triffit has the most catches of any keeper in the Sheffield Shield and scores quickly

Okay, Townsend, Boyce and Herrick are fine, i understand why you'd have them in your side.
Cazzulino after one century?? If he gets two fails in the next match would you change your mind??
Which side is Triffit at??

Tasmania and is still quite young and inexperienced

Fyfe_gun

Yeah but i would be happy to put it in writing that Triffit will be a household name by end of the year with paine injured
