roo boys!

Our picks:
Pick 10: Max Warren
He is a smart user by hand or foot and he can play inside or outside. He is poised with the ball and very agile.
Pick 28: Brad Mangan
Medium defender who kept Brendan Fevola goalless in a VFL match this year. Formerly with the Murray Bushrangers.
Pick 46: Malcolm Lynch
Left footed medium forward on the improve who has the ability to set up scoring opportunites. Member of Port Melbourne's premiership side in 2011.
Pick 63: Sam Gibson
Experienced midfielder who captained Box Hill and won the best and fairest award this year. He has terrific endurance and ball-winning ability.
Pick 77: Gavin Urquhart
Well, we got him back. I would have preferred getting back Lower or Ross but I'll accept him and hope he does well with his second chance.

Should have surprised everyone and taken Shane Valenti.  :P

Happy with all picks.

roo boys any idea of Sam Gibson is looking like he'll get a game? he won your first 3km time trial at the club I reckon if he gets a go will be exactly like Ed Curnow. can run all day!

roo boys!

Yeah he does have great endurance like I said in the first post, but with the amount of midfielders we have it's certainly going to be tough for him to get game time. Guys like Atley, Cunnington, Anthony, Speight and even Garlett would all be ahead of him, not to mention the regulars like Swallow, Wells, Ziebell, Adams, Greenwood etc and the players like Wright and MacMillan/Harper who spend stints in the midfield as well...it's certainly going to be hard for him. I'm not convinced on whether he will play too much this season, but certainly a great prospect for the future.

I agree it will be tough but I wouldn't write it off just yet. I mean they don't draft a 25 year old with intentions of the future for him. I no he killed it in te intra-club you guys had the other day. got over 30 possessions. will be interesting to see how he goes on Friday night.

roo boys!

That's true, he did do very well. Like you said, we'll just have to see how he goes in the NAB cup and he may well start round 1 if he does well.

Holz

even if he is named round 1 i would be a little worried if we have no JZ and wells he might get a gig. Will have to pull out 2 fantastic games to stay in

bomberboy0618

Surely he wouldn't keep Ziebell out of the team?

he wouldnt but could push out someone from the bench, or move an atley or adams into the HF postion. I dont see him staying in though when they come back. There is no way JZ isnt playing, unless injured

Colliwobblers

Sam Gibson is the most DT relevant at least this season and I like him a lot, but i don't trust scott to play him or any other rookie with anything even closely resembling consistancy.

Won't go near ANY rookie in blue and white stripes after last season. But that kid is a gun player . (fullstop) :)

roo boys!

Sierakowski (if you count him a rookie) and Brad McKenzie are well worth a look IMO, one or the other should be guaranteed a spot off the half back line, possibly both.
