That was one of the best ODI matches I've seen in a long time.

To chase down 320 is a damn good effort, but to chase it down in 36.4 overs is extraordinary and then some.

Kohli was amazing to watch, simply amazing. 133 off 86! A masterclass for the ages. I feel sorry for Dilshan too, its the second time he's hit 160 and on both occasions Sri Lanka have lost the match.....to India! :o

And Malinga... 7.4 overs with figures of 1/96! :o :o Arguably the best death bowler in the world has been absolutely butchered tonight. 24 runs off one over...ouch.

The equation is simple for Sri Lanka now, anything but a loss and they are in the final. Win, tie or a no-result.

Definitely going to the match this Friday afternoon/night at the 'G, who knows what we could witness there!! Anyone else going now?

To me this just shows how uncomitted and lazy the Indian team really is

They complain all tour, show up with little interest, play awfully against two teams they quite obviously have the capacity to beat. Dhoni said himself that he didn't think they could make it before their shocking match against Aus. It takes one of the biggest kicks up the arse to reality to play like the World Champions. Go Sri Lanka Go

PowerBug

It would be funny if they did this for no reward. ;D Is it gonna rain in Melbourne on Friday??

Fridays forecast: A little rain.

Probably not enough to produce a washout though. :P

roo boys!

Yeah I was going for India today becuase I was already going on Friday and didn't want it just to be some dead rubber so this adds a little spice! :D

Jukes

One of the best team and individual ODI performances of all time by India and Kohli. To score 320 off 37 overs is special against any team, and that is just magnified in that it was against a good side in Sri Lanka, who are agueably better then India.

I think the record is 438, they would have gotten that easily likely. But, then again, they probably wouldn't have gone all out like they did if they batted first.

How's this - Dilshan's scored 160 twice in his career. Both against India. Both in LOSSES.

All this 400 talks reminds me of the Australia v South Africa match

Could not believe that Australia was the first team to crack 400... and then South Africa chased it. Geez.
