If the selectors do place Watson in at number 2, then he will not bowl. But since he is one of our best bowlers and our best batsman, its only logical to place him down the order. ::)
Why? He has before, why would having him a couple of positions down the order all of a sudden allow him to bowl?

Prior injuries.

It won't change anything c4. He'll still bowl. Clarke still bowled after spending 2 days at the crease for his 300. If he opens, he will bowl still but just wont bowl as much. At the moment anyway with the current bowling attack we have, he wont be highly needed to handle the bowling anyway.

They will. A lot of the selectors have hinted that he'll move down to 5/6. Plus Cowan is doing well at No.2, and we need him there.

Unlike at No.3, where the only option we have is Clarke, Ponting and Khwaja...

Sorry Q but you are being slightly blinded in your comments there. Clarke dropped to 5 because of poor performances. They won't move him to 3 when he is performing well in his current position and keeping our batting at the crease. Same goes for Punter. He was moved to 4 for similar reasons to fin form an he has, he will stay there.

To be honest, they weren't moved because of bad performances, they where moved to give Kawaja a chance, and then he got dropped, they made runs and didn't move again.

I believe Clarke is far more comfortable at 5/6 than 3/4 though.
So I don't think he'll move himself to 3, especially considering how well he's done at 5.

Tendulkar out, more than likely the last time he will walk off in Australia in a Test match :(

PowerBug

He plays ODI's.

When does India play Zimbabwe or Bangladesh (at home)?? I think that's how long we'll be waiting for Tendo's next Test century.

They play Zimbabwe next (in Zimbabwe) in ODIs in July of 2013 and then again in tests/ODIs (again in Zimbabwe) in July of 2016.

They play Bangladesh (in Bangladesh) in ODIs in June of 2014. They also play them in tests (in Bangladesh) in June of 2015.

They dont play either of those two at home until after 2020.  :-\

IMO, he's best upcoming chance would be at home against New Zealand in August later this year.

Windigo

There should be few retirings for India.

But Dravid scored 3 centuries  against England before coming to Australia....

And Laxmans form was crazily good before coming here too. Is that right?? Only one not making tons lately is..... Tendulkar.

AUSTRALIA WIN SERIES 4-0

TheMailman

Not so much a great series from Australia as a terrible series from India.

But it's good that Ponting, Pattinson, Hilfy Siddle and Lyon got some good performances under their belt

Now it's the Windies  ::)
