not confirmed, but from the cricinfo page on facebook:

QuoteMore woe for India. MS Dhoni banned from Adelaide Test for slow over-rate in Perth.

;D

He'd be struggling to stay in anyway if he wasn't captain...

Confirmed.

Under ICC laws introduced eight months ago, captains found guilty of two over rate indiscretions in the one year are automatically banned for one match.

It really is going from bad to disastrous for the Indians.  :-\

Windigo

India should just cancel the last test and get on the nearest plane back to Mumbai.

There are some truly shocking statistics for the series, but thats right up there.

Australia's opening partnership average: 62.75 (highest of 214)
India's opening partnership average: 14.17 (highest of 24)

Hilfy's bowling figures for the series: 23/368
Yadav and Khan's collective bowling figures for the series: 24/735

Australia's first 6 batman scored 1305 runs from 4 innings so far this series (take out Marsh and its 1291). India as a team have only scored 1374 runs from 6 innings.

Overall Australia are 34/1601 at an average of 50.03, whereas India are 60/1374, an average of 22.9.

Hilfy and Siddle have taken 40 of those wickets between them.

Now thats a hiding.

Really have to question India's attitude don't you? Seriously, even when Australia was getting belted, I still felt they were giving it there all. I don't have that feeling with India.

So isn't Dhoni playing. Who is going to keep

+ There horrible fielding. It was the same a few years ago. They were letting boundaries go and dropping catches every few overs...

Their backup wicket-keeper is Wriddhiman Saha. Only played one other test before this in against South Africa in 2010. Unsurprisingly, he's 27.

India just need to cull their whole top order and start again.

Be kind of good if Tendulkar falls short of 100 centuries.

His 99 International Centuries, could be like Bradman's 99.94 average...
