same haha :)
Me too. Could be cos I used to train with him though ;)
But really think he deserves another shot in the test team. Only bowler in Aus who can really swing the ball...

But his swing in the longer forms of the game is too predictable, that being said, I agree, he deserves another chance because he is a better player than Starc at least.

Hussey will play in the BD Test. John Inverarity pretty much confirmed that in the press conference.

Christian's inclusion will depend on the fitness of Marsh as well. Marsh isn't 100% fit, so if he doesnt pull up right, Christian will be in. Otherwise, he'll be 12th man.

Which means if Marsh doesn't play, Ponting, Clarke and Hussey would all have to move up the order.  :-\

Then what do you suggest?

Perhaps they could look at moving Hussey to open the batting with Warner and then push Cowan to 3. Hussey has opened the batting before and could make for a good partner for Warner. It would also take some pressure off Cowan in his first test and also save Clarke from batting at 4.

Thoughts?

Hussey
Warner
Cowan
Ponting
Clarke
Christian
Haddin
Siddle
Pattinson
Lyon
Hilfenhaus

Of course, if Marsh plays, it makes it a lot easier.

I rely want Marsh and Christian to play but that wont happen :/
maybe we should try Clarke at 4..he hasnt batted there for like 3 years and he is a better batter now so they could try him

Yay Hilfy :)

HILFY'S BACK!!

Love Hilf. If the bowlers on the other end ever gave some pressure, he'd have taken more wickets. Very reliable bowler

marsh making runs in the 20/20 probably has done enough to prove his fitness,  pretty likely the team will be...
warner
cowan
marsh
ponting
clarke
hussey
haddin
siddle
pattinson
hilfenhaus
lyon

what will be interesting if the top 3 score well, and watson is fit for the sydney test,  both huss and punter could be batting for their career.
a team of-
warner
cowan
marsh
khawaja
clarke
watson
haddin
cummins
siddle
pattinson
lyon
could be the team for the first west indies test (a long way off i know, but still)
