Pretty Solid Team first up.  As you say rookies will change.

My only concern for you would be Maric as second ruck. Feel you may be leaking points with this selection. Giles may be the better option but keep an eye on pre season form. Alternately downgrade one of your backs to another rookie and selct a Prem Ruck.  Rucks only weakness.

Probably the best team I've seen put up yet, except for what has already been said re: Maric. A downgrade needs to be done, but from where? Maybe one less midfield premium.

Wont be able to comment on the rookies, as i haven't done enough research, but i'll do my best for the rest.

backs are fine, though the mids lack firepower. you might want to downgrade Caddy, as he lacks the ability to get a lot of Sc points, then upgrade Goodes, as he never starts seasons well.
the second half of your fwd line is filled with potential, but with potential that i can almost guarantee wont be exposed in the upcoming season. Callinan can be downgraded to a rookie, while Gunston can be upgraded, then Bate can go to a better mid-pricer such as Jono brown.

I had Dempsey in my first rough draft... then I realised, he is absolute shower - he is cheap, but he won't rise that much in value anyway, much better options!

Same thing that everyone else is saying with Barlow - could be great, could never be the same. no one knows yet. Was a horrendous injury, takes a lot of time.

Stacked fwd line, I like it, would love it if Watts actually killed it next year (And I don't even go for the dee's)

Think you need one of Ablett, Pendles, Swan. Murphy or Selwood in your mids or you will be giving away some points early. Not sure about Gibbs as a pure Mid this year though either.

I would also possibly interchange Fyfe with Johnson as well but just my opinion.

I would trim down the forward line a bit and build up the mids.  A bit bottom heavy.  Agree with Ringo, you need one of the four middies he mentioned at least.

Second the thoughts on your midfield, you need 1-2 of the biggies. Mids are where the points are.

Ruck looks fine, Backline ok. Forwards are ok, although I've recently taken the Porp out of my list. That would give you some cash to possibly lose Trangove for someone better. You might want to think about some of the cheaper C/F options instead of Stevie J or Pavlich to save some cash. But that's just me.

team looks strong although you are taking some risks with lake, hayes, brown and porpus all in the same team. personally im not keen on scotlsnd either. dont think he can keep up his scoring from last year. but other than that team looks good.
