Who thinks that in the Cricket bidding if someone does a big bid and wins that player that it should come down 10k higher than the last highest bidders price?

pyronerd

No, you pay what you bid if you win IMO

Ringo

If you are prepared to bid 1.1m for a player then that is your cost imo.

PowerBug

Agree with Ringo and Pyro. You pay what you want.

Or i'll just bid 10mil on Rahim and get it adjusted down to 110k as Ringo led the bidding on 100k beforehand. It won't work.

Ringo

A fair way to do it, but it may be  a bit complicated to implement, is to lodge your bid as a maximum but it is recorded as top bid for player.

Eg I bid 500k for Watson
Watson currently listed at 300k
I am then shown as 310k
Susbsequent bids made between 310k and 500k are shown as unsuccesful bids until bidding reaches 500k. (each Unsuccesful bid increases my bid by $10k above the unsuccesful bid till it hits $500k)

Exactly. Ill just bid 11million on so and so and get him no matter what. Stupid and allows cowardice.

I asked Boomz about this, it's like the bidding agent for those on FTP, and he said no. You have to be online to bid.

If someone else wants to update the bidding then this can happen but I'm not keen to do it as PB said.

Thanks Guys thought that would be the case.  Just put it out there as compromise but my original comment still stands,

On a side note though it is interesting that if you happen to go out as I did last night you can not update bids.  Early in the day there was little interest in the Bangis so I put in my bids, still no updates when I left mid afternoon got home and was out bid on all three.  Luck of the Draw.  Really wanted the allrounder and keeper so lesson learnt bid high to start,
