Hello everyone,

Recently, I put forward an idea to ossie85, our illustrious W15 organiser about a pre-season competition. One that he has now given me permission to run. >:D

I had thought about running a competition similar to the real-life NAB Cup, but I thought it would be much easier to organise friendly matches! Plus the other beauty is, you don't have to compete if you don't want to. :)

Each club can opt to play up to 3 friendly matches (to be held between Rounds 2 and 4 of the real NAB Cup) against any other club of their choosing (providing the other club accept the challenge and provided they aren't already competing that week).

The games themselves will be held to current W15 rules, which can be seen here:

http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,44830.0.html

Guess that's all you need to really know....challenge away! Feel free to ask any and all questions you have about the friendlies and I'll endeavour to answer them as promptly as I can.  :)

I'll also list all pre-season friendly matches here once confirmed by both parties. Remember, first come, first served! The location of each friendly match will be determined at a later date (but I'l try to give everyone one home and one away match).

I like this idea, but the unpredicitability of the matches will mean this is just a bit of bragging rights. No problems with that though, Im in!

Guess I'll get the ball rolling...

I'd like to challenge the Tokyo Samurai for my Round 1 match and the Moscow Spetsnaz for my Round 2 match.

Either of you interested in playing the Pacific Islanders in a pre-season friendly match?

meow meow

If there is one thing our boys from Moscow love, it is a lighthearted friendly exhibition match.

What was our final verdict on sub rule?

I'll get the confirmation from ossie on that one, but from memory the vote FOR subs won by a single vote.

Is it one of those rules that needs a 2-thirds to pass?

Here's an idea, why don't we use these pre-season friendlies to trial the sub rule?  8)
