Who says TV does not run the AFL!!! Another case of dictating to improve ratings. It will not have much effect on SC/DT other than delay team namings etc till 6:30pm rather than 5:00pm.

Rule 1a: Thou shall not trade until as late as possible...

prime example last year was Heath Shaw, a few guys brought him in and 4pm Friday season over...

This is a joke. And it IS a big deal. The Sunday teams are not finalised until Friday arvo. If this is done at 6:15 it will give us little more than an hour to make our trades. I hate channel 7.

Where previously we had a two and a half hour window to make trades after the final teams are announced on Friday, this has now effectively been halved. It will definitely have a detrimental affect on my life. I just hope that this 6:15 thing is contained to just Thursday night, and the Friday announcement of Sunday teams is unaffected. It is the Friday night finalisation of Sunday teams that is the most important thing in this debate. Hopefully it remains at 5pm.
