Looking at getting some sort of smart phone to replace my iPhone (which is being dishes offto my sister).
My parents have both got HTC sensations and I was thinking along those lines too. Any other suggestions or cons of the sensations I should be aware of?
Also must be with optus and not an iPhone.
Thanks :)

Edit...
Also does anyone know if I get a new phone that if I keep the sim card from my old phone and put it in my new phone whether or not my voicemail greeting will stay the same or if it'll return to it's default "the person you have called is unavailable..."
Thanks again.

the only other phone that gets close to an iphone is the samsung galaxy

I guess a lot of it is down to personal preference but my beef with iPhones is how you're so restricted and locked in by the apple stranglehold. The sanding galaxy has defs come into consideration, thanks Cic.

If you are going an Android phone I would go the Samsung Galaxy II first. You will certainly not get a bad phone.

However, my advice would be to go with something Windows Phone 7 based. I have used one all year (and have had the option of a free iPhone and Galaxy II from work) and it is fantastic. It has a really nice interface where everything is really quick to get to. Its most impressive feature is how it integrates accounts from various services into one. So I have a single address book which combines all of my services. Some of my contacts have details that have come from: gmail, work email, msn account, facebook, linked in, phone details, twitter, all combined into a single contact card.

HTC 7 Mozart or HTC HD7 would be good options if you want to go down this route.

Thanks hawk. Unfortunately the Samsung Galaxy S 2 is not available on my $29 cap plan. Not sure of what phones are available but HTC sensation looks okay. I'll look at the Mozart. Thanks hawk for your help :)

Who are you with?

If it is Telstra the Mozart is the way to go, not sure you can get it on a $29 cap.

If Vodafone, their version of the Mozart is the HTC 7 Trophy. Apart from a slight cosmetic change, they are identical and I think they used to offer this on a $29 cap, not sure if they still offer it though.

Optus have the Samsung Omnia 7 which I haven't personally used, has decent reviews and a slightly larger screen.

I'm with optus.
Also any idea on part 2 of my thread? Thanks.

Depending on the age of your sim card you may have to change it. Depends on Optus.

If you stay with Optus I would be very surprised if you had to re-setup your voicemail.

Yeah that new HTC with the Beats 8)

Pretty much all the HTC's are great, plus the LG Optimus and Samsung Galaxy's; all for Android.

But apparently the new Nokia n9 is one of the best phones yet!

Good as for its price, and idc that its not as good as the nexus or Galaxy s2 anyway. i love it :D
