Rookies are subject to change obviously. Took out Johncock put in Gibbs by swapping Buntine to Bugg (Will probably change this 100 times before lockout though)

Went with Chappy instead of Stevie J - hopefully with a full preseason Chapps can get closer to his best. He's pretty underpriced atm.

First thoughts, either have west starting and upgrade connors & crameri or downgrade west and upgrade connors.

I like your first 3 defenders and even tho Burgoyne is getting old if he has DPP he will be handy. I would get rid of Lake and Connors. Downgrade one of them and upgrade the other. I love your Midfield but think because you have so much cask spare 20 or 30k to upgrade to Rockliff. I think Goldy is an awesome pick but I think you should downgrade Cox to Leuenberger. They should average the same in 2012 and You getting the 30k you lost from your last trade back. I would downgrade Stevie J to Goodes or Zaha to get you a bit more cash the use some of it to upgrade Morabito. With all those trades you would hope to still have about 80k left.

Saw the fanplanner was up so I couldn't resist making a quick team. I've been slack so I haven't done a single bit of rookie research but I'll get started soon - so the rookies in my team mean nothing other than their price.

Obvious question marks over hartlett (fitness), burgoyne (role), Lake (everything), Connors (will he get a game/role).

Only had a quick look through the fanplanner so I haven't seen the bargains that are out there other than porps.

Def: i'm still not getting all this Hartlett-love?? Burgoyne on the other hand ... will depend on price and the question as with Dids/Brown-dawg - has the game passed them by?? Lake i don't reckon will be worth the risk but to each his own ...  ;)

Ruck: i'm worried about Cox at top dollar and age. think West is better slotted in as your no2, depending on how he's looking closer to rd1. Goldy, i'm worried that with HMac coming back his big numbers for 2011 may not be replicated in 2012 ...

Fwds: Stevie J worry at top dollar, Crameri - is he a mid-pricer punt? just not sure his consistency will be there for you ... Morabito - in another's fanplanner, i've seen whispers from Freo training that Mora has not turned up in good shape or with big motivation apparently ... watch that space ... i am too ...  ;)

i give a really harsh 7 due to fair bit of risk ...

Either there's a change to the fantasy games to cope with the byes, or we'll all cop 0's, there's no way to avoid them unless someone can think up a magical trading strategy during these 3 weeks... Help!

Wait for the rules on byes and plan your team based on your gut and then adjust when rules are known.  Keep hearing rumours round 11 - 13 for overall may be just 15 - 18 players and Leagues suspended for the three weeks.  Sounds like a good compromise if correct.

Haha I did notice it actually, gave me a bloody heart attack

It's just gonna give me a headache trying to build a team/strategy around those byes so I'm gonna wait until the rules come out until i take a serious look at it
