OK you keep watching your crap players keep playing crap
Hopefully u dont during this time Australian cricket dosent need supporters like you
but just continue to write off greats of Aussie cricket like Ponting and Hussey because u will b in a for a shock

Ponting was good in his day Hussey is nowhere near Ponting's level but the game has passed them both 2 years ago

Hawka

Yes because hussey saved us so many times in the ashes but that was over 2 years ago and hussey got 3 man of the match awards in sri lanka and that was over 2 years ago
WRONG the ashes was 1 year ago and the sri lankan series was 3 months ago!
yet agian get ur facts right before you go boasting

Team for boxing day

Watson
Warner
Khawaja
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Haddin
Christian
Pattinson
Siddle
Lyon
Marsh (12th)

Ian Chappell made a good point on the cricket show. The underperforming players would normally be dropped but there are no real candidates knocking on the door so why change it just for the sake. We are riddled by injury especially bowlers so don't expect greatness.

Probably our best Test Side that we could put on the park would be

Watson
Warner
Marsh
Khawaja
Clarke
Hussey
Haddin
Pattinson
Siddle
Lyon
Cummins
R.Harris (12th)

but this isn't possible because of the injuries. You could give shield players like Herrick, Cowan and Forrest a run but they probably don't deserve a baggy green for a few good innings.

I'd have Harris in over Siddle (his loose bowling at the end of NZ's second innings cost us a lot...), but yeah :)

BratPack

I'm sorry but Ponting must burn if Marsh is fit not Khawja. And if Marsh isn't fit then Christian should play for him. Either way Ponting MUST get the tap on the shoulder

The stunning loss of 3-0 just before lunch sent tremors through the Australian side.

First to go was Ricky Ponting, lamely offering up an easy catch in the covers Boult surprised him with a slightly slower delivery and Ponting, on the back foot, was through the shot too early and simply spooned the ball to the fieldsman.

Australian captain Michael Clarke lasted only seven deliveries before he was beaten by a magnificent delivery by Bracewell, the fullish delivery luring him into the drive before seaming off the pitch and catching the edge on the way through to Taylor at slip.

Suddenly Bracewell found himself on a hat-trick when he trapped Michael Hussey directly in front of the stumps with a brute of a delivery to receive at any time, let alone when just arrived at the crease.

Initially the Kiwis’ appeal was turned down but on referral the decision was overturned, with the ball clearly on course for the leg stump.

If I recall Ponting made 78 in Brisbane, at the moment he is on and off, but that doesn't mean he is past it. Hussey has been in bad form the past couple of series, but that doens't mean he is past it either

Master Q

Hussey is one of my favourite players in the side, but he should go way before Ponting does.

I would agree. Ponting has more to offer than Hussey.
