Hughes is useless  ::)

My starting XI (without injuries):

Warner
Watson
Khawaja
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Wade
Pattinson
Siddle
Cummins
Lyon

Ponting and Hussey should retire after the summer though.... And Haddin should already be gone.
Very nice MC. :) But i would like Ponting at 3, coz that is where he belongs.
As mentioned before Cummins is out for the whole summer nearly. :(

Play might not be over for the day yet, but things are looking grim for it to restart again.

I almost cheered when he got out.  Its un-Australian to do it so I didnt
Haha, i did. Unfortunately though the selectors tell him when it's his last chance, and he goes out and makes 100. >:(

if watson, harris and marsh are fit.  this will be the starting XI for the boxing day test

1.watson
2.marsh
3.khawaja
4.ponting
5.clarke
6.hussey
7.haddin
8.harris
9.siddle
10.pattison
11.lyon

maybe khawaja will open and marsh at 3, but i doubt it.
i suppose if warner does really well this test, maybe marsh wont make it in

Thats my opinion. Maybe Marsh can't fit :(
Marsh will take Husseys spot I reckon...

My Chumps

Personally, I'm not a massive fan of Marsh... Don't ask why :P

maca  do u really think they are just gunna drop hussey(mr.cricket)  without any warning?
also marsh was batting at 3 before injury, so it would be doubtful that he will suddenly be named at 6,, it would be more likely than that marsh just wont get back in the team.

I dont think they will, but I'm hoping :P

all of the old players should have been dropped 18 months ago the writing has been on the wall for a long time

Can't really stereotype them all though..

#218
why not?

none performed very well until the start of this summer over the last 18 months and there are better players out there and we should change our thinking IMO with the spinner (i reckon Herrick should play alongside Lyon)

Dean Brownlie

In just his third Test, the 27-year-old former West Australian club cricketer has scored 77 not out, 42 and 56 in his three hits this series and has been the only shining light for the tourists to date.

The series averages for the Kiwi top five would make even Chris Martin embarrassed â€" Brendon McCullum 17, Martin Guptill 9.3, Jesse Ryder 14, Ross Taylor 6.7 and Kane Williamson 12.7 â€" highlighting Bronwlie's stand-out performances.

Nah actually if i were Chris Martin i'd taek those averages.

TheMailman

Hows Australia going? My phone doesnt show it properly :P

Also chiming in to say that Australian selectors wont drop Hughes, Hussey, Haddin Ponting etc. so stop complaining

Are we smashing NZ again?

If so Ill go out on a limb and say thats the team to play India.
With Watson and maybe Cummins in thats our best chance

Cicjose

its a certainty that this team will be the one to play india

if watson is fit they will drop hughes

if cummins is fit they will drop starc

they are the only possible changes

TheMailman

Drop Starc? Bad move that would be. I personally would show siddle the door but that looks unlikely

And I think Warner is still a bit behind hughes atm :-\

Master Q

Agree. Watson will come in for Warner...

bomberboy0618

Even if Warner makes a big score and hughes fails in the second innings?
