I'd like Christian as a replacement for middle order, while Warner the replacement for top order.

I would pick Cowan before Ferguson.

No love for Cutting in the bowlers.

Do you believe that Pattinson and Cummins will be the equivalent of Lille and Thompson if paired together for new ball. Both bowl at express pace and have the intimidation factor that Lillee and thom had in their hey day. Like this prospect if both remain fit.

What about the #1 spinner? Has Lyon got that in the bag, or will they give players like Steve Smith, Xavier Doherty or Michael Beer another chance?

Lyon #1 while Doherty #2 for me although Smith is NSW so he's loved by the selectors. Hauritz is playing again so he might try to push the team.

Lyon is easily Number 1 for tests IMO. with Doherty 2nd.
I think Hauritz had done his dash, while Beer is crap lol.

Doherty is definitely our best ODI spinner though and looks to have that stitched up.

Brownlie hard fought 56, Chris Martin gets his 32nd test duck and Pattinson takes ANOTHER 5 wicket haul! :o

Also, since the last two wickets fell in succession, James Pattinson will be on a hat-trick when he first bowls next innings! ;D

Lyon probably the best spinner for Tests but doherty isnt a quite as good test player but he is easily the best Shorter form player in the country.

Ponting and Hussey should retire after the summer though.... And Haddin should already be gone.
