I'd also like to see Hughes stay. Would be ridiculous to drop Hughes and not drop Warner.
so you are saying marsh or watson get left out? because  you cant play 12 players
also with the bowling, i would say the better combo would be harris, cummins, pattison and lyon
sure siddle is doing well here,,but on a green top against a pretty average batting lineup

Marsh will bat middle order, not opening.

Harris is to old IMO.

Ringo

Pitch is green how will we go on a green tiop.  Do not envy Warner and Hughes.

NZ missing Vettori.

Big question will Pattinson be retained when all bowlers fit. hard to drop but is he in our best three when all bowlers fit.

When all bowlers are fit he is still in the best 3/4 fast bowlers

marsh was batting at 3 before injury,,  and the selectors wont drop punter, hussey,,  so are you saying marsh wont get back in the team for the indian series?
harris if fit will get back in the side,, surely picked infront of starc

He should be in the 3 to 4 top bowlers in the country after the Gabba performance and what he has done so far today. Mitchell Johnson is injured, Cummins is injured, Siddle is playing and the 4th is Pattinson then Harris. These young guns will seriously be tested by India though. I mean the Sehwag just scored 219 in an ODI  :o :o :o!!!

Patto is probably our best bowler at the moment... lol
No way he will be dropped.

Patto, Cummins and Lyon are locked in when fit.

It's just a matter of the last spot between Siddle, Starc and Harris.

Batters is a harder thing to solve though, with Warner, Hughes, Watson, Christian, Marsh, Khawaja, Ponting, Hussey, Clarke and Ferguson all fighting for spots.

Doyle

Don't think Clarke is fighting for a spot  ;)

I meant those are the batters that have to fit into 6 spots.   :P

Once again it is left to Brownlie to fight for NZ (normally Vettori but he isnt playing)

If Vettori was playing the kiwis would still have a shot at making 200..

upthemaidens

what was the latest on cummins?,  i think i heard he wont be right till jan.  so that would mean miss melbourne and borderline for sydney

Out for the summer now with a stress fracture in his heel. Don't think we'll see him play any tests against India.
