and this journalist agrees

The collective failure of Australia's most experienced players to lead the way in the past three series has been diabolical. At any given time, at least two of Ricky Ponting, Mike Hussey and Brad Haddin have been experiencing career-threatening form slumps.
please tell me where exactly he said we should blood 400 test debutants for the next series?

you have been complaining throughout the last 28 pages saying we need the older brigade for experience

and that was the number 1 PROBLEM with Australia vs New Zealand

look, they played badly, but you can bet in the next 2 weeks they will do everything they can to prepare themselves for the next series, they will be as good as any players you would bring in, with the experience on top

What we see is only what goes on during the match. Off-field, these 'leaders' are crucial for success, their knowledge (such as Ponting's) is second to none seeing as they've played in different countries against different attacks and were successful.

Cicjose

doubt that

the players i would bring in are players who can actually score runs, field well including behind the stumps and have got teams out

Hawka

Yet are unproven and would get eaten alive with ppl like Clarke and Ponting supporting them

Hussey and Ponting can't do that? Seriously Hussey is just about the best fielder in the world, and we know Ponting can field

on a less bowler-friendly pitch they will be able to make runs, and I doubt we will see a repeat of today

Cicjose

so are you expecting an unproven Warner to get eaten alive by the Indians?

You needa include Clarke as well because CJ hates him and thinks he needs to get dropped  ::)
and i agree with you pyro both amazing fielders and Ponting is vital to our slip set up and so is Clarke

he just made flowering 123 when no other player got to 60 for the whole match, he is doing as well as anybody at the moment

I have no idea what this idiotic comment out of the blue has anything to do with your argument anyway, if anything it is showing support for everybody else's :-X

Doyle

Cicjose, you seem like a decent guy, but your ideas are very extreme when it comes to cricket and none of them will ever come true unless a meteorite crashes on Ponting's house or something. So please keep these non-related opinions to yourself

Maca24

Cic that is 1 innings.
1.

You are very quick to judge!

Ponting has been a beast for 15 years. That's results right there.

How dickhead

our best player was in his second test match batting in a far superior manner to all those in the middle order with their more than 80 games average experience between them
he had a good day, the other had a bad day, not to mention he had been in great form at first-class level as well

next time you want to argue with someone as least write it so your point is understandable

Cic-the Caroline Wilson of FF?
