rubbish

ponting has always had a problem with his technique he falls away to the offside at anything straight early in his innings

its just that he has scored a lot of runs that he is still in the side 18% of his dismissals are due to poor technique to straight deliveries

when Hughes complies over 10k runs in tests we can talk bout this subject u cant question punter over his carear yes u can question his batting lately but the guy is our best since the don..tho he needs a century agianst the indians or a 2nd innings one would b nice

umm he has been dropped and its 16 yrs and hughes will never b able to say that...comparing hughes and ponting is just wrong

Cic you know nothing  :-X
Pontings technique is pretty flawless compared to Hughes.
Hughes does not have a straight bat, how can he be a good opener without one?!

+1, when you don't have a straight bat you are going to hit straight to the slips or gully every day of the week :-X

I've never been a fan of Ponting, but he's a true great. One can't score 12.5k runs without skill. No doubt he had less pressure in the days of the old, but he's still a great cricketer and would only come 2nd to Bradman (in Australian cricket) in my opinion

Great start Warner looking very good
and Hughes is ok but i want Warner to make a heap more

Maca24

Lets be honest, Hughes is still looking shower.
He was out for a duck!! Why didnt NZ review it.. lol

Warner looking fantastic, should open with watson.

Play has been called off for the day.

Hughes on 20 off 64 and Warner 47 off 50. I bet he still thinks this is a T20  :-X

He has been playing sensibly ::) are you saying you would rather him be 47 off 100 balls?

Maca24

did you watch him bat Q?
Every shot was a drive along the ground.. not much risk in that.

roo boys!

I don't understand how someone scoring quickly can be turned into a criticism??? Isn't that a good thing?
