backs look on the on the money

mids look good although no swan is a risk that will pay if he has a slow start and could pay off big so thats a personal choice and nothing wrong with it

rucks   berger looks set and hes in my side , jacobs is also a solid pick , not sure if he will average more but chances are he could , fourth year could be a good pick so nothing wrong with rucks

most will say zaha a question but although hes not in my side i dont mind him the rest are very solid , no cloke could be like swan a good decision if he has a slow start

salary cap is ok you might still have to bring it down a little but still an amount where you might only have to downgrade one player to come in on budget

the set up is on the money

good luck with it , i  dont really look at the rookies yet im sure they will change

all up good effort and i wouldnt be changing much at this stage there will be plenty of time for that when we know the exact salary cap etc

have a look at mine and give thoughts, my cap has used more but im pencilling in conners to rookie and a few others that can make me very close to the cap , im leaving them in for the time being as i want to check their pre season form first

OH THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH YOUR SIDE IS THE NAME , ANYTHING WITH PIES IN IT YOU WONT WIN , BUT YOU MAY COME SECOND  ;D ;D ;D

Backs: Gibbs, Goddard and Deledio, all common stars in the back, no worries there. Hartlett could potential take his game to the next level as long as doesn't injure himself. Heppell is an interesting one. He could do a Fyfe. Armstrong and Buntine are solid choice as the rookies (Although Armstrong isn't really a rookie).

Midfield: The usual suspects in Pendlebury and GAblett. Can't go wrong there. Selwood, I'm sure, will take his game to the next level. Suspension and injury hurt his score and average this year, but otherwise he would have averaged 110+. Martin is the interesting one. He can have huge games or really quiet games. I'd rather go Cotchin personally.

Forwards: This could potentially be your downfall. Franklin and Fyfe wil be must-haves and Zaharakis in also a solid pick, but Brown and Porps are coming back from injury and they are seriously injury prone. Sidebottom, I dunno, just don't like him that much as a player, but he could be decent.

Overall, one of the best team on the forum so far

8.3/10  ;)

BGK

Hay guys. Thanks for the feedback.

Martin at this stage could turn into Trengove, Cotchin or a handful of others at this point. The NAB cup will be where i make that decision. I really like to look around a little to see who may or may not take the next step. Its a very difficult decision at this stage of the year. The only problem i see with Cotchin is he tends to get a lot of attention from the taggers which can really hurt his game. But as he and the Tigers improve he should learn to beat them, when he gets a little protection from the rest of the team.

I honestly dont think starting without Swan is a big deal. I didn't have him in the start last year and probably benefited from it. there are now a lot of options for that 110 points per game captain choice now days. I think Selwood, Ablett and Pendles have improvement in them too.

Brown and Porps do worry me a little. Although i think they both have the potential to really turn it on. As far as my knowledge goes they both are able to have a really solid pre season because their injuries are all healed. But again i will wait to see what the NAb cup holds.

I like both Zaha and Sidey because they are both young and very well established in their teams and should naturally improve. Time will tell but i feel a changing of the guard in the forwards this year, Chappy, Pavlich, O'keefe, Goodes, Hervey etc. approaching the twilight of their careers. Stevie J is another one who served me really well from round 1 last year and i wouldn't mind squeezing in, but i do feel his price will fall. I throw Cloke into the same basket.

Hey hey everyone. This is my first attempt at a team this year. I do like to pick some younger players who i think will have a breakout season. I had great success with it last year starting the season with both Fyfe and Rockliff. So let me know what you think. Obviously rookies will change over the next few months.

TEAM NAME: Kai's Pies

RUC: M. Leuenberger, S. Jacobs (J. Giles, J. Witts)

yo Kai,

Def: everyone seesm to be on the Hartlett bandwagon at the moment - i'm not quite seeing it - just don't see value in him right at the moment. Heppell may be the same, just not to the same degree.

everything else looks solid as - Martin is one everyone will be keeping an eye on (please, please make him MPP C/F Champion Data/Virtual Sports!! - though it is unlikely they will ...  :(     ;))

like your ruck line.

Zaha's my only query in your fwd-line, just on the consistency side ... but i get that fwd options are pretty limited ...

will wish you luck, but you don't really need it ...  ;)

good luck mate!   :)

I reallylike your unique-ness. An interesting thing about your uniques is that they aren't too risky (Heppell, Hartlett Caddy, Martin, Reid and Sidey could explode), yet your team looks so different to others that it could really fire in 2012

However...
"Martin is going to go off the *censored* chain" I thought a few months ago, but I am feeling that the Richmond midfield is going to be cramped in 2012, with Lids in the midfield. Just a thought...

8.75/10 Very nice, with just the right amount of risk  :D

just be careful on hartlett because he has had constant injuries since his junior years.

Back: Relying a bit too much on mid-pricers, would be better to have an extra gun in there. Weak but financially-good.
Mid: No Swanny will hurt, but good rookies. Is missing a DPP link to defence I think, unless Horsely is B/C.
Ruc: Very strong, although I disagree with your "theology" (I prefer the cheap rucks strategy of 1 gun and 3 rooks).
For: Very strong guns and good rookies, don't fancy Porp though, at 202k he'll only average 58-70 which will be bettered by a number of rookies, although Porp does have good JS.

Overall: Solid team, 794/1000.

I have been thinking of downgrading Porp to a rookie, but I will wait and see what the NAB brings. If I was to do this I would then upgrade either Armstrong or Waters.

I don't think Swan is a necessary these days. There are a lot of premiums with very good scoring potential. The C/B link is a difficult one. I will again wait and see what the NAB brings.

I understand your 1 and 3 ruck approach. It will be popular this year with 2 very strong back up options but I will stick with a 2 and 2 approach.

Thanks bud
