Very interesting trade period for us - refreshed our list big time looking at the final outs and ins. A lot of older players out and some great young talent in.

OUT: Jobe Watson, Colin Sylvia, Lynden Dunn, Lee Spurr, Jeff Garlett, Troy Chaplin, Sam Dwyer, Greg Broughton, Blayne Wilson, NAT 33, NAT 51, NAT 69

IN: Jack Darling, Ben Reid, Shaun Higgins, Sam Reid, Dom Tyson, Jimmy Toumpas, Brad Hill, Michael Evans, Andrejs Everitt, Jed Lamb, Lachlan Plowman, Patrick Karnezis, Alex Sexton, NAT 21.

We now have picks 12, 21 and 87 in the National Draft.

I think that's right Chumpy.

My Chumps

Looks right to me Memph!

Best inclusions: Jack Darling, Shaun Higgins, Dom Tyson, Ben Reid

Worst out: Jobe Watson

Really excited about pairing Darling and Cameron up front for the next 8 years. Picked up some potentially gun midfielders too with Tyson, Toumpas, Hill, Karnezis and Sexton, not to mention the plethora of mids that will be available at pick 12 in the draft.

Jukes

Three of those four best inclusions are Moscow rejects :3

And the other is a complete dud :P

Hey hey hey, he's our best defender :P

Memphistopheles

Personally I think Toumpas could be the best inclusion looking to the future.

Kid will be a gun though he'll take time to develop. Plowman also was Pick 3 for a reason. Way too skinny in his first season but when he improves that he'll be good.

...Don't you get me started on Spud Toumpas...

Nice looking team you've put together chumps. Defense is a little poor, but overall a strong team :)

With Reid, Pittard, Guthrie, O'Shea, Johnson, Plowman, Heath, Brennan, Everitt our defence is def our weakest point but one for the future.

Though I have a sneaky feeling that Gwilt might factor into first team calculations again next season. Last season he was forced to play on some of the 1st and 2nd tall defs whereas this year he should be freed up to play a rebounding role again.

Also our money is on Sam Reid to get more game time at CHB this year and join his brother in our defence next season.

Forward line could be problematic...

Wouldn't surprise me if they make Daisy a mid again! Stranger things have happened....

Hawkins scored terribly last year, and if his injuries don't improve....

Higgins injury concerns also..

Bird may keep dpp for another season which could help. Cameron is a jet. Hawkins scoring was correlated to his injury. If he get's that right I'd except him to go back to 90 avg. Bock's dpp could help as well.

There is plenty of risk but with this side we don't really expect to be challenging for the flag next year so if things go pear-shaped we can look at improving it next off-season. Or in the next trade period.

They've already said that Hawkins' issue is a chronic thing that won't go away. Doubt he will ever get back to 90...
