Fine you guys go out without your protection but I have seen so many injuries from guys wearing caps rather than helmets and no thigh pads. Protection gives you the freedom to play those shots with out any doubt whatsoever that you could get injured. One guy even broke his cheekbone in 13 places and was bleeding everywhere

Calm down. The only reason I would face up without protection is because I cant afford it atm. And I trust the people bowling to me. Otherwise I would wear it. I understand the danger, its just that I need practice.

A couple of seasons ago a guy in the same league as me lost an eye, wasn't wearing a helmet and top edged straight into his face.

Left arm fast, haven't had the speed measured though, but I am the fastest in my rep team competing in the state wide championships...the best performing players from that get picked in the Vic team for the National Championships so that's my goal ;)

Well I know I am faster than that :P I think I am about 100-115 kmh but that's just guessing :P I tried to figure it out by measuring the time between when I let go of the ball to when it hit the stumps (this was when I was being filmed) and used Speed = Distance over Time but there were just too many variables :P It's hard to get it exactly right with the spotwatch, 0.2 of a second can change the speed dramatically...

Well basically all you have to do is put the ball on a line anywhere near the stumps and I am going to miss it...

you call that fast :P I'm reasonably confident that I could clock 100 kmh, I am a year or 2 older than you though :P
