Bomberboy id get the kookaburra for that price, the powerbow is fairly heavy and poor pick up for  my liking. I ordered a Hero Honda off some indian site for like $30 Australian and $30 postage and it came in the mail today!!! It is huge and has such a light pick up, reckon it is kashmir but the middle is crazy. It comes pre pressed so have just tried it out with some old balls because id still like to give it a little knock in but man.

I got the Powerbow, happy with it atm, feels right to me, as I do like playing powerful shots, and it meant I could get a cricket bat bag and a proper kookaburra ball as well. Gotta love rebel sport :)

Yes went in there yesterday and had 50% off all cricket. Got a thigh pad, new pair of gloves, new pads and 4 new pink octopus grips for just a tad over $100

CrowsFan

I never wore a thigh pad when I played cricket. I was hard as :P

I don't either, although i should probably wear them over normal pads, as if i ever get hit it's on my thighs, only ever been out LBW once, and that was when the ball hit the bottom of my bat and went straight down. >:(

I need all that stuff so I can go to the nets and get in match practice. It looks like I'm going to have to face up without any protection. I need more money :(

She wasn't saying it anymore 9 months later...

Fine you guys go out without your protection but I have seen so many injuries from guys wearing caps rather than helmets and no thigh pads. Protection gives you the freedom to play those shots with out any doubt whatsoever that you could get injured. One guy even broke his cheekbone in 13 places and was bleeding everywhere

roo boys!

If you come to some nets over my way BB I can bowl to you :P

CrowsFan

Fyfe I would wear all the main things for protection, pads, box, gloves and helmet, but just found that wearing a thigh guard was too restrictive when I was running and felt far more comfortable without it on. I was hit once or twice on the thigh, but it is just a large group of muscles so doesn't hurt much at all ;)

it was a joke fyfey :P honestly if I actually played though I would only wear a helmet, leg pads and a box, anything else would be just too restrictive, and also I'm careless :P
