Thanks to the help from Marcz and roost, who both directed me to the same website, I went in to their physical store in Sydney and walked away with a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX7 + 4gb memory card + camera case for $251 :)
$1 over my budget but who cares ;)
Now to get some great shots of mountains 8)

Thats good news, My SLR is a Sony, Great camera for someone at my level of experience (Limited).

You will have to post some photos CF in Marcz'z photography thread when you get back, very envious of your trip

to Nepal, gotta go there one day hopefully.
