"He only played five minutes last year but in the 20 minutes I saw - as a coach you start to get a little bit excited - but he did some stuff where if we can get matches into him this year we will be a much better side.

"He's one guy I've always been really impressed with as an outsider."

Porplyzia was earmarked to spend more time in the midfield in 2011 and Sanderson's praise raises hopes he could still add versatility to the Crows' engine room.

The bikes have come out of the gym (on Sando's order) and boxing has become a focus. Whilst nothing too serious has yet gone on in the ring as yet boxing wise the early birds have been testing themselves wrestling wise. Talk of a recent match-up between Porps and Aidan Riley was promising for Jason's shoulder strength. If anyone can remember Aidan Riley's (NSW boy - Wollongong?) tackling from last year and it's Rugby style intensity then that stands testament to where Porps is at.

He's in my team, and I reckon plenty of others. Can Matty Wright keep his spot or will his role change I think is the bigger question about Porps imminent return.

Yeah porps is a champ. Really like him as a player. Locked in for me unless injury strikes (touchwood)

i see one of three things happen

Porps goes straight into Wright's spot and Dangerfield plays more middle

Porps goes into the middle and Dangerfield plays in the forward line with Wright going out

Porps and Dangerfield go up forward and Wright goes into the middle

Dudge

No. 4 --Porps does his shoulder :(

the last one is my preferred option

Ringo

We all be dancing Cic as I think at a Rookie price $94k he will be in most teams.

elephants

My preferred option of the three is number 1.. Danger is going to explode pretty soon.

everyone's been saying that for years................

elephants

True but now he's older, new coach, more experience under his belt. Mark my words this is his year.

I agree. 2 or 3 years ago he was touted as the next Ablett and I agree with that.

i dont know why ppl have been saying this in the past, now hes actually ready.  THis will be his 4th whole season now, this is around the time it usually happens with young guns.  He played alot more mid late last year even though he was injured i fully expect to become mainly a mid next year.
tbh i think Porplyzia is more valuable forward, and even fantasy wise can still score quite well when playing fwd.  i doubt how much time porplyzia can run in the mids.  I expect him to have 5 min bursts in the midfield per quater.
I expect Wright and Porpus to play forward for the majority and danger in the midfield.

ill have porplyzia next year i expect him to score 80-85 if he plays forward, thats enough at his price
