Not just you, I've given up on Cyril :P

Just find the process a lot easier when there's no referring back to assistants and waiting for all 3/4/5 of you whatever to be online at once.

A little statistic which makes the value placed on high draft picks interesting -

The top 20 players from last years draft averaged a combined 50.0532 in the 2012 season.

1 of those 20 players didn't make their AFL debut this year.

Only 1 of those players averaged over 80, only one of the top 10 draftees averaged over 60.

66% of the 70+ averages were taken outside the top 10.

Positions for 2011s draftees (MPP listed twice):

Defenders: 4
Midfielders: 15
Ruckmen: 1
Forwards: 6

The stats from years prior to this are also intriguing if you can be bothered to collect them. Makes some of the trades made this period look crazy...I guess what could be is always more exciting than what is.

Kinda pointless really...

19 year old kids scoring like 19 year old kids? Oh shower, shock horror!

The value comes in when they're 21-25 and scoring 115.

All I'm saying is that draft picks might be overvalued...I'm sure there are others that agree.

Lol, I agree w/ you kinda...

I don't rate picks hence trading mine away...

But what you have to look at for relevant stats IMO is how the players from 3-4 years ago, performed 3-4 years later...

Not 1 year because that's hardly fair, and a lot of them would be sub-affected/effected. You also have to take into consideration this meant to be the best draft since the super draft or even the best draft ever...

And a lot of our best premiums ever came from that draft... so if someone snaps up an absolute jet, then that pick will have been severely underrated.

The thing is picks are a risk and a gamble.

You could draft Mitchell Thorp with pick 5 and draft Dane Swan w/ a pick in the 40s...
