Eric Mackenzie was to make his debut for the Magpies against Wellington, but was a late withdrawal. MacKenzie may find it difficult to get in for the rest of the season, with Yarran to push his way into the back 4. James Kelly is also looking to return soon.

Jason Gram however did debut, and becomes player #21 for the Pies.

With #1 Ruck Ben McEvoy out for 6 weeks, Renouf has a lot of pressure to perform.

Xavier Ellis, struggling to have played a match this year, has strained his medial ligament. Disappointing for Ellis, with him expected to play a big part in Seoul Magpies 2012 season.

Ellis joins long-term injury suffers Brent Macaffer, Lachlan Keeffe and Dawson Simpson. While Ben McEvoy, Rhys Stanley and Stephen Coniglio are still on the sidelines.

An unconvincing victory for the Seoul Magpies, edging out New York on the final day. Only 3 players stood tall this week - Matt Scarlett, Jude Bolton and Jason Gram - not particularly likely subjects, and these 3 veterans justified there selections today. Scarlett in particular after a poor score and a resulting suspension in round 1, averaged 100 in the reserves, forcing his way into the team, and being best on ground.

Brett Deledio, Ryan Griffen and Patrick Dangerfield were all well below there best. Perhaps they were nervous about being part of the inaugural EurAsia v AAP Alliance match. I have no doubt they will represent Seoul with pride.

Seoul now sit in 8th spot, one of 6 teams tied on 6 wins, 5 losses. Coming up next after the breal are the Pacific Islanders, who are struggling with form as there captain Chris Judd is well below his best. Good news, is that #1 ruck Ben McEvoy should be fit and available for selection.

Seoul are very happy with 3 wins a row, and look to push for the 4 with a strong performance over Buenos Aires. #1 ruck Ben McEvoy is reaching prime form, but injuries to Luke Power and Rhys Stanley have depleted our forward line.

Also note that the administration of SMFFC do not support the recent decision by South Korea to start hunting whales!

The Seoul Magpies coach is FURIOUS at the performance of the leadership group, while acknowledging the terrific performance of James Kelly and Chris Yarran, the Magpies 3 stars - Brett Deledio, Ryan Griffen and Patrick Dangerfield - all went missing on the weekend, costing the side a crucial win, and most of the team was well under par.

Adding to the frustration, Jack Steven - having a breakout year, playing regular senior football and winning the Vic Country medal - will be suspended after driving drunk for a week. Leaving the door open for either Tom Scully or Stephen Coniglio to return.

The dressing rooms of the Seoul Magpies are silent. Seoul Magpie coach ossie85 looks around the room, the players aren't making eye contact.

Also in the room are the friends and family, those who attended Seoul's crucial home game tonight. Everybody is devastated. They know the road is tough to the finals now. Veterans Luke Power and Jason Gram especially devastated, having below par matches in a team that performed at every level. Toronto were outstanding.

"I wanted everyone's friends and family to be in here to hear this, gentlemen. I have never been more proud of a team than I am right now. I am in awe of each and every one of you gentlemen."

The players lift there heads. They know this was there best score of the year. The coach continues.

"You played great football tonight. This is the game that people are gonna talk about for years to come. This is the game you are gonna talk about. There's not a single person in this room that's ever gonna be the same. You be proud of yourselves. Because gentlemen, you are champions."

The players cheer.

"We will all at some time in our lives, fall. Life is so very fragile, we are all vulnerable, and we will all at some point in our lives, fall, we will all fall. We must carry this in our hearts, that what we have is special, that it can be taken from us, and that when it is taken from us, we will be tested. We will be tested to our very souls. We will all be tested. It is these times, it is this pain, that allows us to look inside ourselves."
