Hey guys was super bored and thought I would try to generate some discussion. What are some of your mid pricers or smokies that you will be keeping a very close eye on for 2012 and why?

A few of mine are

Rory Sloane : gun, tries so damn hard, I think with his work ethic will be able to push his average into the 100s

Robbie gray : averaged 99 in the second half of 2011

Liam anthony: absolute dt gun and with a full preseason and decent run should be a superstar dreamteamer. Will be underpriced due to starting sub 4 times this year. Averaged 89 excluding the sub games.

Thoughts? Opinions? Any smokies of your own?

Anthony I was going to jump on if he was traded... there just seems to be little love for him at the roos unfortunately :(

unfortunately my league stalk my chronically on ff... so, I won't reveal my sneaky picks, however, I'm not a total douche so I'll be happy to give evaluations of everyone's smokies :P

A thread like this is unlikely to get real responses, because people probably aren't going to give u their true smokies. You will get mid pricers named but they're pretty obvious really.

l note that you've only nominated mid pricers yourself.......but no smokies at all

Come-on Zip lame excuse lol. I'm watching Polec. Don't know why , he burnt me bad this year. Just a gut feeling

Ziplock

to be fair, most smokies are mid-pricers, and a lot of mid-pricers are smokies :P

Gray is someone who has killed me in the past but I just keep coming back for more.

bowyanger

Salopek, Varcoe, R.Stanley & JPK to score much better this year...I hope

nostradamus

still no smokies mentioned yet.......to me a smokie is someone who bursts on the scene and takes it by storm in their 1st year, like curnow, barlow, fyfe etc

Ziplock

fyfe was a second year player.

and I think your definition of a smokie is completely wrong :P

smokie to me is more a player that is fairly unique that you think think will post good scores  What you described is more a gun rookie, Barlow in fact is the opposite of a smokie he was one of the most picked players that year.

An example of a possibly smokie is say Jack Ziebell, many will skip him because he is a mid and there are better options and he is suspended but i think he is a smokie who wont be in many teams but could push out a good average.

Fyfe, Redden, Goldstein, Suckling are all guys i would classify as smokies this year.

l was refering to fyfe's first season, not the season just gone  8)

.....and yep l probably am wrong about what a smokie is, but to me when l hear "smokie" mentioned thats what l think of  :-\

nostradamus

.....ok guys, l got it totally wrong  :-[

l now know what a smokie is   :P

Shiels as well would have been a smokie.

Don't want to sound like a flowering tool but I've got smokies I'd rather not share. If you do your research you'll find guys you'll be stoked with (and no there's no point Going and looking at the rate my dt section as my smokies have not been included in that fanplanner draft) ha... Sorry. I don't think I'm alone in this view.
