l thought l'd start up this thread to see if anyone was considering this marshmallow

ls there any chance that this guy might actuallly have a run without injuries, because if he does.....

well anything is possible, he's talented, is mpp and is a bit of a DT slut

lets hope the change of coach and support staff might turn things around......l'll be watching the pre-season and NAB cup with interest

Ziplock

no good DTer ever discounts any player completely. I had higgins and rioli  this year though, and seriously, they would reallllly have to fire for me to pick them.

IMO, next year is higgins last year to break out as a premium :P

rioli has maybe one more left in him

elephants

No no no. By selecting him you putting yourself at a disadvantage to the rest of the competition. However many trade we get in round 1 if you select Higgins you'll have to use one to trade him out WHEN he gets  injured. Equally he might be susceptible to the green vest :O

RiOtChEsS

unlikely... that said the pain he caused early last year was ultimately what we remember but he had 18/22 games @ 84

Ziplock

if he carves up nab....

but seriously that's it.

yep l agree with you Zip.....but will also be taking note of his physique, as he's always looked a bit soft to me as well

.....if he puts in a big pre-season and gets super fit, he might have the body to match his abilities

Chopps

i had him last year and in 09 both years were not bad returns for his average and games but will need to show a good preseason as durability is an issue for me

Voldemort

I'd rather Rioli

Higgins .... well .... yeah ....

Dudge

I've never had him in 4 years of d/t. I know he scores well  (very well ) on occasions, but way too inconsiistant for my liking. Also you inevitably always seem to have to burn a trade on him, one way or another. trades are to important. Unless something unbelievable happens with him pre-season, i'll probably steer clear

Holz

the last couple of years have been bad for vaue in the forward line, this year there is plenty so i dont think its worth the risk anymore.

with ya on that Holz

bowyanger

Last year he had a good pre season, was interviewed in the HUN and claimed to be in for a big year & over his injuries.
I believed him and picked him in my side for a second year .....
Never ever  again
He looked ok late last year playing off a HBF...wonder if the new coach will continue with him down back

His silky skills seem ideally suited to the half-back role.....lets just hope it happens, he could really rip it up
