To be honest i feel a little the same, some maps felt a little to much like MW2. The online stuff is where it makes the money. I like Battle Field aswell but MW3 is the only game ive played online, i'l get one of my kids to get me BF3 for xmas if i can wait that long.

In campaign mode the game didnt live up to the hype, was ok but thats it. Im not a big online player, and since the dog chewed my headset ive played even less, i'l see how BF3 compares and give an honest critic.

My mates have it and they say it's virtually MW 2.5 in terms of Multi and the spawning is horrid. You get slayed as soon as you spawn apparently.

The graphics and the maps are quite similar IMHO.
I didn't get Elite because a) I didn't pre-order & b) It's a blood rip-off but I heard there were glitches with that...?

It does feel like a patch/DLC for MW2, although I didn't play MW2 much and haven't played MW3 much yet either... Really the only reason I bought it was because I know a lot of my friends will and it will be fun pwning them :P

Really though, for me, Uncharted 3 has a superior campaign and BF3 has better multiplayer.
I'd get those two first unless you know a lot of your friends will be playing/buying MW3 and you really want to play with them ;)
